Question! I am checking every day for February, since January just opened, I figure it's time to start checking. Do I need to put a certain time like 8pm or should I put "anytime"? I recall someone saying nothing was showing up when they put in 5pm, so I want to make sure I'm inputting the right time!

I would check using "anytime" and also the 1 hour before the start of Wishes time. I checked not bothering to change the time that the online site defaulted to which was 5pm and it showed no availability but when I used anytime it then showed 1 available time (not the earliest). Using the 1 hour before the start of Wishes time brought up multiple times
I enter anytime and have no problem with that. The correct time will appear on your reservation depending on the time of the actual fireworks for that evening.
Keep checking several times a day as there doesn't seem to be any set time that the dates become available.

I thought I was the only one who made spreadsheets for WDW!
I always have trouble booking the DP, but find it much simpler to CALL WDW-DINE and have them book it. It seems that their computers get sort of an "advance" opening to book before the web site. Same thing for the dinner shows. While I've never had trouble with the luau or Whoop-De-Doo, Mickey's Backyard BBQ can be difficult to pin down as well.

So if I book a ressie for the dessert party at 7:00, but Wishes doesn't start until 8:00, Can we still stay for the fireworks? Or is there a time limit so more people can come? I don't want to pay if I can't stay for the fireworks. All the different times confuse me. ha-ha
Just booked for 1/22 at 7:00pm for 10 of us! I've never been before but have been checking every day to try and get reservations. I didn't check over the holiday, and got on here this morning and saw people were making ressies for January...Not sure how it all works either, but since I got one, we'll just show up and have fun no matter what! It's our last night there, so I hope it turns out to be a great way to end our family vacation!

There is only one seating for the dessert party. So you can be seated once it opens and stay until it closes and enjoy the fireworks. The different ADR times are only bc that is how the Disney dining system is set up.
