Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread # 2 - September 2013 OPEN!!!

Crazy question - BC IPO was able to book our requested July 3 ADR. Does anyone know the price for the July 3 Wishes Dessert Party. I gave them our cc to book it but now I'm wondering if it's the same price at the July 4 one or the regular summer rate?

We booked our July 3rd ADR today! It is 119.00 and some change for 2 adults, an 11 year old, and a 7 year old. I don't know what the break down is. We will be there when you are!!

The CM I talked to today told me that the 3rd and 4th fireworks start at 9pm so that's why the earlier reservation times as opposed to the normal dessert party. Mine is for 8:10 pm so I wont be as close to the front as I will be in June, but since seats are assigned, your arrival time doesn't matter all too much.

What I want to know is.... Is there a different show on July 3rd and 4th, than the other dates. Is it some kind of special show? Is it longer? Is there different things?

when does mid july open? why part of the month open and not the rest?

Does anyone know if there is any correlation between reservation times and assigned table locations? For example, would an 8:05 reservation get us a table closer to the railing than an 8:20 reservation? Anyone know how they assign the tables?

The table locations have everything to do with how soon you book and nothing to do with the time of the reservation. The earlier you book in relation to others, the closer to the front you will be. If you get there for an early reservation, you will see how the tables don't fill in any particular order (that is, if you are paying attention to the tables - SO MUCH YUMMY FOOD!!)

Many people do stand at the railing when the weather is nice so you can't be guaranteed to sit and see everything, but we were able to sit during the two shows we went to and saw most. The kids (4&5) went to the railing. We booked quickly so were at the front set of tables both times.

Both times, we took reservations that were an hour before the fireworks. After a long day, we find it nice to have a dedicated place to be able to just SIT and relax for a bit.

Can't wait for August to open!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this thread!!! I would have never known that half of July was open if it it was not for everyone here ( and the Dis Bpard ap where I read it during my lunch hour! )

Yesterday morning I tried for July 15..nothing...so I gave up...

Since part of July was open I went ahead and booked a 9:00pm for July 10th for a party of 9!! I thought then maybe I would cancel if I got July 15th when that opens up..but in looking at my Disney daily plans this actually fits in better.

The Limited Time Magic calendar shows special patriotic fireworks, park decorations & merchandise scheduled thru 7/07. We arrive on 7/06 and booked the party for 7/07. Hoping for something special but either way, just excited to be going & having this reservation for the first time.

In my rush of excitement at getting our July 3 ADR I didn't even look at the bottom of the email!

Yes it was the regular price (not holiday pricing) for July 3. A little less than $30 per adult.

Can't wait - we've seen the 3rd of July preview fireworks several times and they are spectacuar!

I just tried to book 26th July. The ignorant CM told me that the whole month of July was booked up already!!

I suggested to her that perhaps it just wasnt available to book yet as it couldnt possiblt be all gone in a few hours?

No...she told me..its very popular its all gone already!

OK then. I called back spoke to another CM who told me that they were only booking up to the 12th.

I will agree it is very frustrating but I do think the CM are so used to dealing with most venues opening at 180 days that when the see "no availability" their response is it is sold out. One of the reasons I started this thread back in 2011 when I was first trying to book the Dessert Party.

Yes usually the entire month does open at the same time but as I posted yesterday it has occurred in the past. I know how frustrating it can be once it was when I was trying to book and had me going crazy too. Hope it opens soon. I checked when I got up hopeing it had opened up at 6am

Hoping for a date at the end of July and I know it will be just my luck that these dates will be released next weekend while I'm out of town with no cell signal or internet. Should I be concerned or are these reservations usually opened M-F ?

I called yesterday morning to inquire about the rest of July and the CM I spoke with said that they do not typically open up dates on the weekends. She told me to try back first thing Monday morning. Hope this helps! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this information is accurate!

I wanting to book a couple of ressies for the third week in August. When do you thing that they might open for ressies then? Also, will I have to get it on the first day its open to be able to snag at least one?
