Just realized when booked res on the 11th, Disney rep did not tell me how much was charged to card for one adult and one child. She took my credit card info. Do they charge you right away, or when at party? Are we supposed to get tickets like the MSSHP or are these res like all other dining res?

Also, I am booked for 8pm on the 11th. The Disney rep said get their a few minutes before 8pm. But after reading the posts here, am I correct that I have to get in line at 7pm for 8pm res?

Charge is right away. It's an actual reservation not an ADR. You don't get tickets, but they'll have your name and party size on a list when you check in.

The party opens one hour prior to the fireworks, no matter what your ADR time. Do not get caught up in ADR times. People will start getting in line 30 minutes prior to the opening. Your tables are pre-assigned, so no reason to do it to get a table. You do get better dessert selection on some nights. It just depends on what desserts the guests take, and how many. Disney will keep restocking through the end of the party, but if they run out of one particular dessert, then they may either just not restock it or switch it out with a different dessert. We've experienced both.

Alright, I am a bit confused....go figure ! I booked on the 22nd at 8:20. The CM told me that was the earliest time, but I see some of you guys booked earlier. My computer would not let me book......what is the earliest time? Are we sure that the later times do not get tables farther back? After all of this crazy stalking, I'de like to have a table closer to the front!

My mom just got 2 reservations for Sept 4th!! My obsession for watching worked out really well, if my parents like it then we will go in December! Good luck to all you October people.

TY for this thread! We have reservations on the 22nd at 8pm! I called at 10:30am and was told they were booked and all the spots had been filled. Called back 10 min later and got in.

Woohoo! Got mine for 8 on sept 22nd! Now I can relax and quit stalking this thread! LOL. So excited to go and experience it with my best friend and her family this time. It's our 3rd time but she has never been able to book it. I told her don't worry... Thanks to DIS boards, I'll get us a ressie! All set... Now if I could just get a BOG for dinner. We went last year and experienced the west wing the first week after opening and loved it. Now my husband tells me he would like to go again. I'll keep trying, maybe pixie dust will come my way!

SO FUNNY! I was driving home from an appointment, frantically checking watching the dates add up! My heart was pounding like I was running for my life! The CM kept reading all of these rules and policies...blah blah and I was thinking just give me my confirmation number! Thank Goodness....we got it! Now, we get to watch those October people stress ! I really do feel kinda crazy !

Just booked September 1st for four people! Thank you guys so much! It figures it opened while I was walking to the beach! I had a mini heart attack! I hadn't considered trying to book it on my smart phone during all this waiting, but it worked! Yay!!!

I answered this in just the last page or two, BUT to be hopefully clearer:

ADR times DO NOT MEAN ANYTHING. It is simply an aspect of the Disney's computer system.

The party opens one hour prior to the fireworks.

No matter what your ADR time, everyone can enter (in an orderly fashion) as soon as the the party opens.

Tables are preassigned, theory based on the early you book an ADR time, the better your table, ie, closer to the front.

Party size does not matter. There have been reports of all parties of 2 being in the front and several parties of 10+ being in the front.

CMs will escort you to your table. It will not be given away no matter what, you have paid for it. Even if you arrive after the fireworks start, your table will be waiting. I have seen CMs move guests who have tried to take over someone else's table.

People will start lining up 30 minutes before the party starts. It is not necessary. You *might* get more dessert options, you *might* not. I've seen a certain dessert available at the beginning of the party be completely gone by half way through the party, but I've seen different desserts at the end of the party that were not available at the beginning of the party.
