Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread # 2 - September 2013 OPEN!!!

I tried this morning online for August. Something is different now. Instead of saying 1 restaurant with 0 availability, it says 1 restaurant with availability, but it won't let me actually do the reservation. I called WDW Dining and got the pat answer of "you have to book this 60 days in advance". When I told her July dates were released before the 60 days, she told me that July wasn't open yet. Then she "checked again" after I told her July was open, and lo and behold, July was open--but she said August still wasn't.

However, since there has been a change in the website, I feel it coming!! Hopefully sooner rather than later!!

EDIT: Ok, that's weird. I kept refreshing and now it is back to saying 1 restaurant 0 availability. They are TOYING iwth me!!! AGGGGHHHH

The same exact thing is happening on the website with me also. It wont let you book anything.

sorry didn't know where to post this.....thanks to you lot, and this thread, I have a res for July the 11th!....now then , I'm making a trip from the UK, after saving and waiting and planning for a few years, you would think we would be out early and at it ! but noooo... we generally don't get out of the villa until lunchtime.....just say (it must have occurred in the past) MK is at capacity on the day of my res...would they still let me in?.....i'm taking my GD..she is 6 so didn't want her asleep at wishes time , so i intend having 'half a day'....July is a busy time
what do you think?

TP has the crowd level for 7/11 at 8.2 out of 10 so hopefully you will be fine. I believe there are 4 levels of park closeings. Are you staying on site? I know one perk of staying onsite is entrance when offsite guests are not.

Does anyone know why the dessert party is only available for ADRs on Friday & Saturday in the summer time? I was trying to book for July, but not over the weekend & the day is greyed out. :confused3

The online site hasn't been working properly for booking the Wishes party.
Try calling the dining number instead.407-939-3463. Call right away because it books up quickly! Good luck!:thumbsup2

I'm so glad I found out about this! Now I just have to figure out which day of our trip will be best.

8/20, we have 8:05 breakfast at CRT. So that would be a super long day for 5 year old daughter.

8/21, we have 7:30 dinner at BoG, so I don't know if we'd still be hungry for anything and it might be a waste with all these desserts...

Maybe 8/24, which would be our last night at WDW. We were supposed to go to Epcot that day though, and we don't have hoppers. Need to come up with a plan before they open it up for reservations!! Any thoughts/suggestions?

I agree that I wouldn't do it the day of an early ADR for breakfast. It would be too long a day. And you won't have enough room or even enough time with an ADR at 7:30. The dessert party is usually around 9. Can you change your Epcot day to another day? The last night would be a very magical time. That's when we're doing ours- with a 7yr old, 2- four year olds and a 2 year old.
Have fun!!

I have 2 epcot days planned, so I could potentially just do 1 epcot day actually. I also have a day of just chilling at the resort planned, so another option would be to add a day of tickets (it seems its not that much to go from 6 days to 7).

I'm honestly not sure how much my little one will like Epcot, so I guess we can just play it by ear to see if we should do 2 days there or not! I agree, it seems like it would be the perfect way to end a Disney World trip!

Hi! Just wondering when I should expect to be able to get tickets for beginning of November, thanks! So excited to attend a dessert party since we've never done one before!

Do you have the park hopper? You can always leave epcot early and head over to MK for the dessert party.

Can you go back to your hotel for nap/break and then go back for the dessert party?

You guys are making me so nervous!! I'm waiting on September....unfortunately we are only able to do the dessert party on September 22nd. This is my husbands one and only request for the trip! If I am watching this thread and make my ressie the day it is released...what are the chances that we will actually get a table???
