Does anyone know if the Desert Party will be an option on nights of MVMCP Nights. I thinks rhis would be a great way to enjoy the party. :santa::cloud9:

Yep, there are nights that have MVMCP and the Dessert Party going on. My two cents on this is that it'll get *ex-pen-sive* and I don't think I would want to use precious party time sitting around eating desserts. Not that I have anything wrong with the Dessert Party, I have it booked for this trip and I love the desserts, I just would rather take advantage of the other festivities.

Now, on the other hand, if you're doing a super duper long trip (9-10+ days) and maybe going to the MVMCP twice or have done it before, and have the cash to spare, sure, why the heck not? Go for it! :goodvibes

I believe (and I think it is the way it was last year) that you must have a ticket to the party to attend the dessert event on party nights. But yes, they do have it. Anything to get an extra $25 out of people.

Thank You so much something to think about. I have time yet to decide. One other Question can you purchase tickets online or do you need to call?

You must call to make Dessert Party ressies.

we were thinking about doing the dessert party during mnnshp but haven't decided yet. not sure if it's worth the extra $$ and DH isn't a big dessert eater. We have done it for wishes and it was worth it because we had others with us.

Well good point! It's being offered Sept 20, 22, and 24th so I was content with my choices.

I wondered if they didn't want the hassle of trying to keep the dessert party for MNSSHP guests only (since you aren't supposed to be in the park after 7:00 those nights if don't have a party ticket). But who knows how WDW thinks?

How many times did you call and ask?

I called five times today and got the same answer each time. I even tried calling it the "fireworks dessert party" like someone else suggested, and that didn't help either. I am sooooo bummed...:sad1:

I know this sounds like a silly question but did you try the "Special Event Dining" prompt? That made all the difference in the wold for me!

Can you please explain the "Special Event Dining" prompt? Is it a choice when you call the regular 407-WDW-DINE phone number, or is it some special phone number?

I REALLY appreciate any guidance you can give me!!!!!!! :flower3:

Just ask the CM to check under that category after they answer your call.
Sometimes they can be guided by a well-informed caller.
(Usually a DISSER. ;) )

Yep, I just called the WDW-DINE number and I think the 1st prompt was for Dinind Reservations, the next for Restaurant Information, and I think the next is Special Event Dining. :thumbsup2

I tried to call the other day when I booked ours and when I went through the regular Dining Reservation prompt, I was very specific about what I wanted, told her what it was, that it was located at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station and the CM was pretty obstinate about it not being continued past August. I politely thanked her and called right back, and used the different prompt.

Like Robo said, you might be able to direct a (nice) CM :goodvibes

Good Luck!!

Thanks to you and Robo for the guidance on the "Special Events Dining" prompt. I guess I've never listened to all of the dining prompts before!

I did get a very helpful and knowledgeable CM, and she spent about 10 minutes trying to book the party for me on a MNSSHP night. She eventually discovered that they are not offering the dessert party on MNSSHP nights (as mom2cinderella discovered yesterday). Apparently, the dessert party is only offered on MVMCP and regular Wishes nights.

I wonder why Disney is not offering the dessert party on MNSSHP nights? I've never know Mickey to pass up the chance to make a buck!!! :lmao:

I wonder if they will be using that space for something else during MNSSHP? I guess we'll have to wait until the first MNSSHP to find out...oh, the waiting...popcorn::

Thanks again to everyone for their help! :goodvibes
