We'll be at WDW from Oct. 4-10, so hopefully this will be starting early in the month!

Wonder when this will replace the Fantasy in the Sky? I went to the Disney site as directed, but all dates I checked in October still refer to the FITS. Hmmmm. (We'll be there 19-24--hopefully it will be in place by then, as it sounds loverly!)

Well in the past during a change over they did soft openings. I know with Illuminations they were testing for several weeks at about 3 or 4 am. I was setting my alarm to go outside in the middle of the night to watch, it was pretty special!

Then they opened a week or two early to test it with crowds. So we were lucky enough to catch the change over. I'm hoping we get lucky this time too, would be neat to see the new show!! We'll be there Oct 1-9.

Believe... is a great show, so I am hopeful that this one will be too. Hopefully they didn't overdo it with the character voiceovers as they did in some of their recent parades.

I can't wait to see it in January. I wonder how often they will show it in January. I don't think the fireworks shows run every night in MK in Jan. I will just have to schedule my days around it. Thanks for the info. Dawn

You do realize that is not an "Offcial" Disney site or press release and that disneyworld.com still lists FITS through October 29, 2003.

I am really really excited about seeing this show - the Believe fireworks in DL were just beyond words. DH & I stood there and cried like babies.

Can't wait to see Wishes!

Sorry, but it IS an OFFICIAL Disney press release straight from the Walt Disney World Media dept.
The firework hours just haven't been updated yet on the Disney site.

We'll be there from 10/20 - 10/27 and wouldn't it be cool it they did the switchover then. It would be totally awesome to see FITS one night and then Wishes on another night. Either way it looks very cool. Thanks for the update.

Well, I just called WDW and they still have FITS fireworks listed for all of October at the MK. I realize they are slow at updating, but "wish" they would do it soon!

I have a feeling they might debut this on October 8th for the Press Only during the press event that day. I know they are having a viewing of Illuminations on October 9th for the Press Only when they close Epcot Early.

It's 100% official. That press release comes straight from the Walt Disney Company's media relations department. Disneyworld.com is notoriously slow with updating their information, and it often takes them a couple of attempts until they get it right... The Mission: SPACE map comes to mind, where it was shown to be located somewhere by the Imagination pavilion.
