I just booked a Wishes cruise for May 4, but the boat doesn't have music. Is it worth it? We'll have two toddlers with us, so the main reason I booked is to avoid big crowds after, but is it going to stink w/o music?

Let me know what you think-

"Wishes" improves greatly with the AUDIO of the show.
The audio carries the "motivation" for the fireworks effects which change dramatically throughout the show.

Unlike NON-DISNEY fireworks shows, the sound does not "accompany" the Fireworks... the Fireworks "accompany" the sound.

Can you enjoy the Fireworks "alone"?
Yes.
And you MIGHT be able to hear some of the audio track wafting over the water from MK (you WILL hear the sound of the fireworks exploding.)

But for the "full effect" of Wishes... you can't beat HEARING the show as well as seeing it.

well we booked the "cheapo" too....we'll be there in May - so I'll let you know!

My biggest motivation for keeping the reservation is not to fight the crowds after. Is it worth $200 to avoid crowds with a 2 yr old?

We took the Wishes cruise in August of last year, and had a boat WITH the music.

Yes, it was fantastic to have the soundtrack, and I'm glad we had it. Our boat captain 'shared' the soundtrack with those around us, having the volume up so other boats around could hear. He said that often, the smaller boats will park closer to those with the audio portion so they can hear too.

We took a Wishes cruise in Nov. with music, and it was awesome, when I am in the park watching the show it is the soundtrack that really pulls it all together, just the same on the boat. I think without the music it would just be another fireworks show. But your children are young, so I think the music would probably be more for your benefit and if you can live without it then it shouldn't be a problem. pixiedust:

We had a wishes cruise with the music in November. With wishes!, it is really the music that pulls it all together!
