Hi,

We did the Wishes Cruise last summer and loved it. I was wondering how the Illuminations Cruise compared. Also, are there two types of Illuminations Cruises - pontoon and the breathless cruise? Which one is better?

When we did the Wishes Cruise the music was piped in, do they do that on the Illuminations Cruise also?

Thanks!

I know that the Illuminations Cruises are hard to get - are they harder to book than the Wishes Cruise?

No NEED to "pipe in" IllumiNations audio.
You are sitting RIGHT THERE in Epcot, beneath the bridge that goes between the UK and France.

And because there is very limited space beneath that bridge, there are only a limited number of boats that will fit.
So, yes, the Illum. cruises are harder to get because there are fewer of them.

The Breathless is a "vintage" speedboat (reproduction) and not a "pontoon" boat like the others in this fleet.

Its a fun thing to do, if you can afford to pay the price... its gotten pretty "steep" this year...
considering that the folks just 15 feet above your head are getting the same show for at no extra charge (they DID have to pay for Epcot admission, which is NOT required for the IllumiNations cruise.)

I did the Illuminations Breathless cruise a couple of years ago, and LOVED it! It was the highlight of my trip! Our driver took us around the lake by MGM before hand and then asked us if we wanted to see how fast the boat could go, and we said "sure"! It was so much fun! We then parked under the bridge and watched and the driver left the boat to give us some privacy. People on the bridge were looking at us like "how did they get to be on a boat??"! It felt like we were celebrities! :goodvibes I definitely recommend it and think it's worth the cost!!
