My family will be going to WDW in Sept. My mom will be in an ECV. She will just be finishing chemo. She is determined to get to WDW one last time with the grandkids. I booked the wishes 10 person pontoon boat. Does anyone know if is really difficult to transfer to the boat for the EVC? Any other tips for traveling with someone in this situation would be helpful as well.

Thanks in advance.

The ECV won't fit on the boat - that's not what you're asking, is it? She can ride it as close as possible to the boat, then get off the ECV and onto the boat. Then someone else from your party can move it away from the water (yes, I'm a mistrustful cynic ;)). When you get back, that same person can run over and ride the ECV back to the boat. Your mom can wait on the boat until the ECV is close enough.

I would just ask when you check in for the cruise. Different resorts have different configurations. I don't think they'll lock it up anywhere for you, but given the choice, I'd rather leave an ECV in view of the CMs at the marina. Another option might be to leave it inside the resort lobby somewhere.

Ask :)

There are wheelchairs you can fold up and probably take on board the pantoon boat.
