I've tried a search, but unable to find the answer I'm looking for. We will be staying at WL a few nights, but not doing the parks:eek: We are just hanging out and enjoying the resort. We would really like to see Wishes. Where do you recommend would be a good spot for viewing as well as maybe hearing the music?

Traveling to the other resorts would be okay too. Thanks:sunny:

I've read that they have the music on the beach of the Poly. If you're staying at WL I would think it would be OK to watch from there!

Thanks:teeth: Do you know if you can hear the music from the cruise? I will look into that or maybe eating at Ohana (we love it) and walking down to the beach after.

I've posted this all over....get PS's at the California Grill. Not only a great meal....but an awsome place to view Wishes. It is our favorite spot in the World, and the best meal (bar none) I've ever had!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

mm lover,

Can you hear the music from the Wishes cruise? I didn't think you could....We are staying at the Poly next month, and have a Wishes cruise booked. We''l likely see if from the resort another night as well. Where is the music at the Poly?:D

I don't believe there is music on the Poly beach....at least there wasn't the night we were there. They did have music in the pool area though. I've also heard there is music on the GF boat dock. I would vote for PS at the California Grill to watch the fireworks...that was pretty cool!!

Thanks again. How do you go about the timing of reservations at the California Grill? What if you are finished well before Wishes? Where would be a good spot to watch?

I'm thinking the cruise is about $120, but that could go towards dinner at CG, but of course there are 5 of us....$$$$$. I've heard it's worth it though.

Can you hear the music at the California Grill? Does it get too crowded?:sunny:

narcoosee's at the gf also pipes in the wishes music. u can dine at any time and then show ur receipt from dinner and they will let u back in to view wishes complete with music from the deck of the resturant.

ive never tried this, but i had an idea...
if you have a castle-view room and buy the wishes soundtrack, maybe you could do it that way? you know, start the music at the right time? I dont know...just a thought.

I know it's piped into Ohana's...you could be enjoying dinner at a window seat and watching Wishes ( I wish I was right now!).

Unless something has changed recently, you can't hear the music from the cruise.

I did a Wishes cruise in May and I think it depends on how the wind is blowing etc. I know that we could hear some of the music but not real clearly etc. I know it was to my advantage that I have/had listened to it on live365.com on one of the Disney park stations a dozen or so times before the trip!<G>
About the Poly, it is piped in at Ohana's, and it is in the pool area and on the grounds whereever there is a speaker. I know standing on the beach itself I couldn't hear it. I didn't know they did it on the rest of the property until DH and I were walking out the back/side of the Great Ceremonial House by where they sell the men's clothing. We were staying in Figi and were going to walk back to the room that way. I took a step out and realized that what I was hearing from the speaker wasn't the typical tropical music, but what was the soundtrack to "Fantasy in the Sky". (this was last August). So DH and I stood by the water at the back of the marina there and watched the fireworks display with several other people. It was so nice! Somewhere else I read that at the Poly they play the soundtrack on a certain tv channel while the fireworks are going off. I have a friend coming home from the Poly tomorrow that was going to check this out. If it is true I'll find out from here and let everyone know. It would be great if you had a lagoon view room!

Can you view Wishes from the dock at the Contemporary? I am the only one in the family who wants to see it and we are eating at Chef Mickey's at 8:10 on an evening when wishes is scheduled for 10.
