Wishes (at TTC) after illuminations? is it possible????????????

The finale of Illuminations is the best part.

And, most guests seeing IllumiNations for the first time will likely will think the show is over when it is not.
The finale features the VOCAL performance of the (specifically written to the show) song, "We Go On."

Don't leave the area until you've heard the vocal performance that backs the major visual finale of the show seen on the World Showcase Lagoon.

Possible alternative- and people can tell me why it won't work :)

How about exiting WS at IG, take a bus from Beach Club to MK, then ferry to TTC? Or watch Wishes from the Contemporary (different view, I know).

I guess that would be a "long-cut". I was just thinking about staying away from the crowd flow.

I started to list that option yesterday, but I didn't post it as it can potentially take longer than the one in the question.

I've done that before and it definitely can work.:)

Using the bus just isn't as much of a "sure thing" as the Monorail.:)

This would work especially well if you were trying to hop into MK and not just watch from TTC...

I feel like the Genie when Aladin trick him into a free wish..... my jaw dropped to the floor while I sat here wondering why I didn't think of trying that in 2013 while we were even staying at BC for Pete's sake...

Just like the monorail, it might work. Buses often run about 20minutes apart. If your timing is lucky, you'll do fine. The drive takes 20minutes + 10min Epcot walk time =30min.

The BC bus will drop you off at the MK bus hub, not the TTC. If you have park hoppers, that's a better drop off. If you plan to watch the fireworks from the TTC- you'd need to get on the MK monorail.

Getting to see Both fireworks show is a bonus, not a promise. That's all I'm saying. It can work, via bus or monorail.

A taxi would be money well spent if this is important.

When our family attempts things like this, and the transportation is slow, we tend to get frustrated. That's big part of why we now consider a rental car a terrific value. I like the monorail, so even with a car, we often use it - but only when timing isn't important.

The ferry is mostly slower than the monorail. You'd have some view of Wishes from the deck. Like all transportation though, much depends on timing.
For CR: 1.) if you are staying at CR, tower room MK side = great view. Love seeing Wishes from CR.
2.) if you have ADR at Cali Grill- see Wishes from Cali or 15th floor deck.
3.) if no to above, anyone can see Wishes from 4th floor deck.

However- If you take the BC bus to MK, it will drop you off at the bus hub. You then have to walk to CR plus take the elevator to the 4th floor) Or, walk to the monorail and take that over - probably walking directly to CR is faster from the bus depot. At a brisk pace, plan about 15min from the bus drop to the 4th floor deck.

Transportation to CR from Epcot is via double monorail: a.) Epcot monorail to TTC b.) transfer to resort monorail - and take it to the 4th stop

During Disney rush hours, like the end of Illuminations, buses are concentrated in the places that are busiest. Disney moves a tremendous number of folks in a short amount of time. (for fun, watch the MK bus hub from CR some time. Highly impressive!) Sometimes gaps between buses are 30+ minutes. (been there)

That's another option you might wish to consider- usually a weeklong is $125. A rental car adds:
*2 hours vs. ME.
*1hr per AK or DTD round trip vs. bus. (both go to water parks).
*access to groceries/pharmacies. Just water at the WDW Hess helps. (Hess= $6 per 24, parks $2.50 per bottle)
*dining at resorts - can be big time saver vs. bus
* 1hr per leaving parks at peak times

We don't have to use it every day to come out ahead!
I would recommend the ferry instead of the monorail, as that can give you a great view of Wishes too (in case you don't make it to the TTC in time).

Agree!:)

I love the Ferry and it is also a great way to get a "close up" look at the new Poly Bungalows!(It's as close as I will ever get to them!lol.):)

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of the replies. I guess I will see when the time comes. Its a toss up between taxi and the monorail.

Save the $15.00 and take the Monorail-you'll make it.:)
