HI

Thanks! :flower1:

Should we drive or monorail????

You can definately do both. A couple of weeks ago we watched Spectromagic in Frontierland (7pm parade start time) then walked over to Main Street. Made our way part way down the street and then just stopped to watch Wishes at 8pm. When Wishes was over we just walked out with the masses. (didn't rush but didn't make any stops along the way) Followed the line of people onto the Direct Monorail to the TTC, got off the monorail and walked straight across to wait for the next Epcot Monorail. Got to Epcot and stopped to get our wrist bands for EMH and then proceeded to World Showcase for Illuminations. We did not run but we did not make it a leisurely stroll either. We got to Norway and watched Illumination from there. We did not have a prime spot but we were still able to see. We had only 1 hour to make it over and we had no problem so you should definately be able to see both.

If you watch Wishes from somewhere near the train station, you should be able to exit MK fairly easily. I'm going to throw out a 3rd transportation option and suggest that you take an Epcot resort bus instead (just keep to the left when you exit MK and walk towards the Contemporary, the bus queue is right there). I was just there, but for the life of me I can't remember how they were arranged, but I would go first choice with the Beach Club/Yacht Club bus. When you get off, you are literally a 5-7 minute walk to the back entrance (Int'l gateway) of Epcot. Honestly, I would think that after watching Wishes, you could be over to Epcot by 8:00ish. There are some great spots to watch Illuminations in this area. After it's over, exit back through the Int'l gateway and enjoy a nice dinner somewhere on the Boardwalk, or drinks in one of the clubs. You can even go back to the resort and hop on a bus to Downtown Disney. Just you and hubby, and the night is still young.

Noticed that your from Mass also. Looks like you have perfect timing and should be exiting the state before the snow arrives.

According to deb's site Wishes is only 12 minutes long, that gives you plenty of time to hop over to Epcot and find a good place to wait for Illuminations to start. If you're worried about time watch Wishes from halfway down main street where you can still get a good view and will have easier access to exit the park. I'd say use the monorail for a quick hop over to Epcot (less walking/waiting for trams to/from your car). Even with having to exit 1 park, transportation over, and reenter the 2nd park you'll probably have an hour before Illuminations starts. Enough time to reserve your spot and grab a snack.
