Wishes and Fantasmic at Closing Times????

Just want to clarify what closing time really means. There are many nights where the Wishes Fireworks in MK or the Fantasmic show at MGM are listed to begin at the same time as park closing time. For example, on 5/9 MK closes at 9:00 but Wishes is scheduled for 9:00. Will the rides still be going during Wishes or does it all close down except for the fireworks? Thanks in advance.

The rides do close at 9. We were on Splash Mountain & they let us go around 1 more time.

Keep in mind that sometimes Fantasmic even starts a half-hour AFTER the park closes. The rides are most surely no longer allowing guests to join their queues.

And you left out IllumiNations that is usually at 9pm, the closing time of Epcot.

Disney has found that these shows are a great way to get most guests to voluntarily forego the near-closing ride-queues so it makes for an easier transition into closing them.

I'm sure the CMs working in the evening are glad to have these shows to pull away most late-night guests.

If the park closes at 9:00 and you are already in line for a ride, you get to ride... they won't kick you out, they just won't let anyone get in line behind you.
