We've booked a little vacation ( April 9 - 14) at Universal Studios. I booked this way back in January so it would fit between my son's ice hockey season and roller hockey season. Well, his ice hockey team has done way better than we thought and we're in the city finals in an 8 point series. We've got 5 points so far and they've got 1. We need to win one game and at least tie another to win the city finals but we've got to do it before Tuesday so we don't let the team down by going on vacation. We play tonight and tomorrow and then if we lose any of those games we have to play more. Please wish us luck and keep your fingers crossed!!!

Best of luck. I hope they make it. I know what it is like to plan trips around kids hockey. We leave on our trip the very day after my daughters go to missisauga to play for the best in Ontario. Both of their teams had to qualify for this, so it is a huge thing to make it.

We just booked a cruise for next September which will be after soccer season but before hockey season gets into full bloom.

Hockey mom - we just got our schedule for the provincials - we're at Iceland all weekend. We play Friday 9:15am and 6:00pm then have to wait and see about the third game, likely Saturday around 10:00am or so. Where are you?

Been there, done that, wishing you all the luck in the world. We have a 22 year old son who played competitive hockey up until last year. One year he went to the playoffs and we found ourselves fretting about a WDW vacation stuffed in between playoffs and try-outs. Enjoy it now, you may be surprised at how much you miss it when it's over. Good luck and remember... always keep your stick on the ice.

Mike, one daughter is Friday at 9:15 also then at 4:30 at Cawthra, the second daughter is at 12:15 and 7 at Ice sports. If we make finals they are held at iceland so i hope we see you there. Good luck, go for the gold. Hockey mom.

Well, we lost last night and now the series us 5-3 for us. We play again today at noon and tomorrow at 1:45. We still need three more points. I have no fingernails left!!!!!!

Well, we lost on our last chance to finish before vacation. We had seven boys out either for injury or suspension. We play ythe final game on Tuesday which means that my husband and son will have to change their flights to Wednesday morning. What a bummer!!!!!

Baboo, what were your plans for this weekend? This tournament is huge and coaches make tenative reservations way back in September.

Len has a meeting in Mississauga this weekend. He has these 3 or 4 times a year, and we usually stay at the Four Points Sheraton. This time they were booked solid when they went to make the ressies. After some scrambling we got rooms at the Ramamda at Dixie and 401. Where are you staying? Maybe we'll get a chance to say "Hi".

Actually, Baboo, we've taken your room your room at the Sheraton. We're only staying Friday night. If by some miracle the girls are still playing on Sunday we'll stay with relatives Saturday night.
