About me:
I have Fanconi's Anemia. Fanconi's Anemia is a combination of amemia and a bone marrow disorder. It's genetic, and pretty rare. This means I can't do any contact sports (gym is a bummer), or anything where I could get a head injury. I also bruise extremely easily, and sometimes, my blood has trouble clotting. My blood counts (platelet, red blood cell, white blood cell, hemoglobin, etc) are generally lower than "normal" people's. They have risen dramatically since I was diganosed, though. Then: around 15,000 (or lower!). Now: 125-130,000. "Normal" is about 125-150,000! Whoot! I have to only yearly have a bone marrow test, in which I must to go the hospital, be put to sleep for 15-25 minutes, and they take a sample of bone marrow from my hip to test and make sure everything's ok. So far, so good!
My next test is July 1

I hate it, I really do, but I gotta suck it up. I was diagnosed officially at age 5. See, we were in WDW when I was 4, and I came out of the pool with massive bruises, for no apparent reason. So we went to the hospital for a checking. And so it begins...
Anyway, of course with the FA comes a hearing loss

so I've had hearing aids since age 2! People with FA also start puberty early. Seriously, I was wearing a bra in first grade, and had my period at the age of 7!!

My pediatrician actually pretty much put me on birth control until 7th grade. Yeah. I had the Shot, a.k.a. Depo-Provera.
We heard about the MAW Foundation when I was about 5 years old. Mom called them, and I qualified for a wish!

They came to my house (I still have those pictures, of my Wish Granters) and asked what I wanted. Naturally, being a little kid, I asked to go to WDW
We ended up going in December 1999. We had tickets to WDW, Universal Orlando/IoA (newly opened!), and Sea World. We also had tickets to
MVMCP and Parade!
I barely remember the trip, but it was me, my parents, my grandparents (mom's side), and my great aunt-and-uncle. (I'm an only child) We, of course, stayed at GKTW. Then, it wasn't like it is now. Yes, there was Mayor Clayton, but the female rabbit, I don't remember. The movie theatre was being built, and the train wasn't there. But, there was the castle, the Ice Cream Palace, and the Gingerbread House restaurant. And the carosel!
It truely was a magical trip. No waiting in line, "star" attention, everything. The people at MAW are truely angels.
There's only one song I can think of to describe the foundation:
"Angels Among Us" (Alabama)
I was walking home from school on a cold winter day.
Took a shortcut through the woods, and I lost my way.
It was getting late, and I was scared and alone.
But then a kind old man took my hand and led me home.
Mama couldnt see him, but he was standing there.
And I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers.
Chorus:
Oh I believe there are angels among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours.
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give.
To guide us with a light of love.
When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees.
Theres always been someone there to come along and comfort me.
A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand.
A phone call from a friend, just to say I understand.
And aint it kind of funny that at the dark end of the road.
Someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope.
Chorus
They wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places.
To guide us with their mercy, in our time of need.
Chorus
To guide us with a light of love.
Here's a brilliant video to the song. Watch it, please. It's a tear-jerker!

So that's basically it for now.
Nice talking to you all!
