Wish me some Pixie dust...

We got back a week ago from a great 5 day trip to VWL-celebrating my folks 50th Anniv and DD's birthday. Of course, on the drive home we were planning our next trip. We were planning next December to see all the holiday stuff etc etc.

When we got home and started talking to MIL and SIL, they are thinking, HMMM how about THIS December? Why not indeed? We have some points and can max out next year's if MIL really wants to go-(long story she's 82 years old had a rough year health-wise last year and finally feels well)

Sowe may try to plan a 5-6 day trip in mid-December this week. I know we will need an extra heavy sprinkle of dust to make it all happen.

Anyone out there have good luck planning Decemeber this time of year? I am thinking there should at least be SOMETHING at SSR or OKW if we act quickly.
Would love to hear any of your stories about your success (or not) in last minute planning like this.

My only story was in '03, the year that we bought, in the fall, and we were able to get a weekend at VWL. We had a cruise out of Miami in December, and thought well, let's see if we could go to VWL after the cruise. We got a Friday and Saturday in a studio and tickets to MVMCP on December 19th. We will always remember that because our DGS was born while we were there.

You shouldn't have any trouble in December all the way up to the Christmas week; there it gets busy. The first three weeks in December should be easy going. (see you there, if; we'll be there first week of December)

I'm not so sure about not having any problem getting this December. You might want to call soon. I know that there is a post on this board about waitlisters for December and it is pretty big. I have 4 nights 12/11 to 12/15 at VWL in a 1 bedroom. I am waitlisted trying to add the 10th.
