and keep your fingers crossed for me!!!! last month i told my supervisor that i wanted a promotion. i also told her that i want more money than what they are paying the other people in the position i want. i work for McDonald's. at this time i am a swing manager (hourly). i want to be an assistant manager (salary). i have done this position before but came back as hourly since i hadn't worked in 4 yrs. we havent talked about salary but these people are settling for about $5000/year less than what i was paid before. i am making more than some of them with my hourly pay. she knows i will not settle. BUT she called me on thursday night and told me to be ready for class monday (!!! yay!!!) and said that i am on my way!!! i have to go to mobile, alabama for these classes. they are only 3 days long but i have to test at the end. and i have to pass! my ultimate goal is to eventually (in the next couple of years) run my own restaurant. i have thought about owning a restaurant but first i need to know how to run one and this is the best way to find out. so please send all the good wishes you can spare and maybe a sprinkling of pixie dust my way!!

thanks for the good wishes!! i really should be studying! i have to know all of the times and temperatures by 6 am tomorrow morning. you guys have no idea how many times and temps there are at a McD's!
