I am picking out my new house today! The people that bought our house want us out ASAP. So today we our going to find our new home. I have been going out the last three days and narrowing down the choices. Today I show DH the top 6. There are really only 2 that I LOVE but I also fell in love with the neighborhood that one is in, so we are looking at every house that is for sale there. The big choice is if DH wants a home that is done ( pool, kitchen counters, bath, ect...), or if he wants to put in his own pool. I know that doing it yourself is harder but DH used to design pools for a living. I don't think I could spend the next 20 years listening to him tell me what he would have done different. All the houses will end up costing about the same in the end and I will be happy either way.

When the boys and I went looking the other day we all fell in love with one house. When I told the boys we had to show it to Daddy, one of them told me " can you just tell him that it is three against one and buy it? ".

I have friends who live in Texas, near Austin. They moved there from Maryland, talk about a difference. They purchased a hugh 4 BR fairly new home for less than they sold their very small fixer-upper they had here in MD.
