I had a blood draw on Saturday for my doctors Appt today. I havent been to the regular doc in 5 years and you know? I just realized that the other day so I called to make the appointment.
I guess with being a mom we just dont take enough time to take care of ourselves!


Anyway, I should find out today about the thyroid issues and any others that may come up.

So I could really use prayers, good wishes, and whatever else you can offer. Im pretty nervous and really want to know whats wrong with me!

well Im back.


I have very mixed feelings about this whole thing, and the results are very mixed as well.

Ill just do a run down

1) My heart is ok ( the good news) however, it has a weird beat that they cant explain but since the radiation tests came back normal they say its "just me"

2) my cholesterol is through the roof! She put me on Lipitor immediately and said I HAVE to get it down right away.

3) My Thyroid came back fine. ( more good news)

4) the worst thing is, I have fibromyalga. That explains the chest pains that I get. So while Im thankful that it isnt my heart that is going awry, Im kind of scared about the Fibro.

So thats the long and short of it. Everything else is fine, including the "women stuff" which needs a little help but isnt a major deal.
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, I was actually very calm for the whole thing. A first for me at those types of visits.

Well, I guess it's better to KNOW what you're up against so you can figure out how to help yourself feel better! You've gotten some very good news and some scary news but at least now you know.

I hope all goes well and you learn how best to take good care of you given this new info. I'll keep you in my prayers, Binny! If there's anything else, especially internet research, that I can do, please let me know.

I agree with Doreen, binny... at least you know what's causing those chest pains... and I believe that's the lesser of the evils!
