I like the patient contact and continuity of care catherine.Afer working as an auxiliary since 1997 in AE/EAU I know I much prefer the ward environment. My favorite is community though.I have just done 6 months in community as my sign off.I like the autonomousy of it.

Thankyou all very much.Well it went ok but after discussions with my friends who also had there interviews we all decided we hadnt got a job:rotfl: we all said different things or forgot things. Mine was ok so I thought but had to be promted a couple of times in order for my brain to release the answer:lmao:As there are 45 applicants now roughly and about 22 posts I have to keep everything crossed for 10 days:scared1:Yes 10 days before we find out. I am busy applying for other jobs now but most require........guess what.......... 6 months post reg experience so I am limited to be honest. Will see and can only hope for the best.

Don't panic too much about the experience factor. All the jobs I was offered called for experience and /or qualifications I didn't have. If you can wax the interview, you're more than halfway there. A little faith in yourself goes a long way.

Let us know how it turns out for you. :goodvibes

I'm sure that you did really well! Don't worry about having to be prompted I think that happens to a lot of nurses! ;) I don't know what community is like where you live but here it's pretty difficult to get into. However I know a couple of people who managed to get jobs on community with only 6 months post grad experience! :thumbsup2
