This is the first time I am going to mow the lawn since my rotator cuff surgery on the shoulder that I injured mowing the lawn.:rotfl2: I actually mowed the lawn after I fell. I could lift my arm up to the handle and I figured that my shoulder was so destroyed, falling again wouldn't hurt it anymore. ;) But now, it is fixed, so I don't want to destroy it again. Wish me luck. I LOVE MOWING THE LAWN!

Update: I survived! The grass looks great. It smells great. I love the noise from my little walk behind Honda mower. When DH picked it up after it was serviced, the lady wanted to know if I beat it to death!!! I wear out mowers and this one has bald wheels already! MOWING WOMEN UNITE!! :rotfl2:

DawnCT1,

I'm so glad you were doing so good back in April!

I was in an car accident back in June of this year and had a shoulder replacement. When I crushed my shoulder, it tore through the subscapularis and the bicep tendon at that time. Well, my arm is still not working, so went in for an arthrogram and found two more tears (in the supraspinatus and the infraspinatus) I've chosen to wait until January to get the surgery to fix this even though it's very painful. In January I'll have sick time and vacation time, so my time off will be paid for.

In your posts you sounded very prepared prior to your surgery and I was wondering if you have any other advice to give. I'm also looking for positive stories, like yours. It sound like your surgery was a long recovery but was worth it.

Oh, I'm still going to WDW in a few days, (in a sling) but not riding much. It's been a while since we sat through all the shows there. I'm so looking forward to taking it easy and not commandoing Disney.

Thanks for any advice!
