Wish me luck for tomorrow

Well tomorrow im back to work after 7 weeks off with stress.So need alittle dust to help me on my way!! .

At 9.00 I have a meeting with the head of the HR department, as they have now received recomendations from their medical people as to what measures now need to be taken regarding my job. As they have said i only have 50% use of my arm/shoulder/hand,it has been recomended that if i work its only for 15 minutes at a time,and that ideally my work load should be cut by 90%.It has also been advised that I have a workplace assessment on my workstation,as using computers also affects me.I cant help feeling alittle smug as im sure the head of HR thought I was trying to pull a fast one!
Im still alittle apprehensive, as im sure my line mangers will have something in the bag to make my life as unbareable as they did before.I guess the only thing I have going for me ,is that im now covered under the disability discrimination act.

To top this off, ive also got my MRI scan tomorrow, with another X-ray, im not the worlds best in those MRI machines so feeling abit nervous, all in all a tense day tomorrow for me, so please send out some nice thoughts and lots of dust!!

Hi Jules

With the Drs recommenations, you know that you have right on your side. If I was your Line Manager I think Iwould be feeling a little worried right now.

What with going back to work and having an MRI scan I think you've probably hit the jackpot for tomorrow!

Regardless of whether you are covered by the Disability Discrimination Act, your employer MUST do a risk assessment of your workstation if you are defined as a display screen equipment user. It's not optional!

good luck!! I was off work for a month before I got married and I only came back in last Tuesday. I too was worried about how everyone would be with me but when I got back I was lucky that it was just like I hadn't been away! Everyone except for the big boss was fine, but to be honest no difference there!!

I am sure you will be fine.
