Wish I was at Wishes!

Any one else watching their fourth of july fireworks wishing you were at WDW right now! Wishes would have just ended, maybe plan it right to try and get to Epcot for Illuminations at 10pm? Sigh!

Oh well, back to your regularly scheduled 4th!

We were saying the same thing tonight watching our fireworks! Luckily, we are back in the World in 9 days!! Since we were in our front yard watching, DH gave up and said, I'd rather wait and see them at Disney and went back into the house.

We are spoiled!!

Same thing here! DH and I were sitting on our roof watching our city's fireworks. Now mind you, they were almost a half hour long, cost $30,000+, etc.

And all we could talk about the whole time is how much better Wishes is. (sigh)

I just got done watching the Boston Pops on CBS and for the finale they played We Go On from Illuminations and I got all choked up remembering Illuminations. I just want to be there.

Oh, well... a couple more months.... On a good note, across the street someone had bought a ton of fireworks and it's been going on for a good hour now, really nice big pretty fireworks, so I just watched that and daydream.

They haven't had Wishes yet tonight. We are having thunderstorms. It is starting to clear, so I expect them to start Wishes pretty soon (12am).

My DH was laughing at me because every time a firework would go off I would start singing "WISHES!! Share a dream.... WISHES!!!"

As far as I know, there were no plans to show Wishes tonight. They did show Fantasy in the Sky, and it seemed to go off on time at 9pm.

Illuminations was delayed about 7 minutes, but then they showed the full Illuminations, plus a 5-6 minute 4th of July ending. There is only 1 word that can describe the 4th of July ending ... WOW! If you got a chance to see the "Let There be Peace on Earth" ending this past holiday season, the 4th of July tag tonight just blew it away.

I mean, what's the point of having fireworks without the castle, music and Jiminy Cricket?

Too cute.......after the fireworks my 3 year old nephew said to my brother...
"How come Tinkerbell didn't come daddy?"
