I want to join, but I never have done the challenge before. What do I do? Do I keep track myself and then let someone know when I reach the half point and then my goal??
I'd like to sign up for 1500 minutes. I go to the gym 5 days a week for at least an hour (depending on my schedule). Do I just keep track??
Like Kim, I'll be back at work, and will be busy, BUT I want to do this. Since I was able to make August 1000, I think that I will strive for 1200 in September. I'm thinking that the exercise that I do moving two kids out to College/University should count!
ADisneyMom, be sure to check out the Marathon Training thread, too. We are all in this together....and I don't know about others, but I'm beginning to shudder at what I have gotten myself into, Ollie.
Tera, RaeAnn checks this thread regularly. Shes' awesome! Some people check in daily-or exercise time. Some every couple of days. I prefer to keep track, and post once a week because it saves RaeAnn a bit of trouble AND it makes me focus and accountable for my own exercise time. Do what works best for you.
Good luck everyone. We are a wall of strength together!
I was hoping someone would do this or I was going to do it on my own. Thanks so much for organizing this again! It seems like so much work; I'm really grateful for the time you put into it.
Although I wasn't participating, I was following along with the 1000 minute challenge for August. I lost count of how many minutes I actually did, but I think I did ok, so I'm gonna join in officially this time. September is going to be a busy month so I could use the extra motivation.
Please put me down for 1000 minutes. Thanks very much for organizing this.
I'm jumping in with the basic 1000 minutes goal. I'll be away for the first few days in Sept, but I'm already keeping an exercise diary, so I'll add my minutes in and report on them when i get back.
I have a question though. Since i work for Target, they are varying my jobs lately, and occassionally i'll be required to walk all over the store depending on what I'm doing that day. Can I count the walking as exercise for my goal here? Or do i just count my FIRM workouts that i do and any exercise outside work?
I fell a bit short of my August goal, so I'll sign up for 1000 minutes again. Hopefully I will exceed that. Thanks Rae Ann for taking the time for this.
Sign me up to please Rae Ann for the 1000 minutes. I really need this.
I stopped trying to loose weight about four weeks ago for some reason, and we are just back from two weeks at WDW, and I have put lots of weight on there as well .
I really need this to get back on plan, thanks so much for organising this challenge.
