WISH Committment Week 12

So sorry that this thread is late in coming. I missed chat Monday night and can't wait for tax time to be over. I hope all is going well for everyone and whatever your committments are, you are sticking to them.

I am admitting that I still have not been exercising, but that is a thing in the past come Monday. We are going camping this weekend, so Monday morning, I have a date with my treadmill.

Keep up the great work everyone. How is everyone else doing?

thanks for starting this one more time for all of us- our 12th week - WOW ! I was treadmlling today and I had been missing it. Tomorrow I am meeting Denise Austin at 5:00 am and working this body! I am back on track, but I really do need to get my "buns" in gear too! Back onto a real routine and firm up!

Tomorrow is Denise A and lots of h20 I have been lax on that part.

I think soon I have to sign another contract with myself. I want to get into the 150's!!

DH continues to lose - I want to too! ::yes::

I will see you for sure next Monday morning and we will get a nice walk in "together" - enjoy yourself until then - well at least after taxes are done, have some fun camping.

well, i am making some new commitments now to try maintanance...AEG, i think you were right! NOT ENOUGH POINTS!
i had WI today and i dropped to 138lbs. i haven't seen that number since HS (and that was rarely!!) anyway, i think i'll have to go for 24 a day+AP?? well see how this week goes! that just seems like so much to me!! i'm not used to it. but as long as i don't gain, hopefully i will find my magic number!!

going to continue to run 3X's a week, aerobics 2X's
dring LOTS of H2O
eat more points!!

glad to hear everyone is getting back into the swing of things!!
it feels good!

Hey everyone,

I have missed this thread, although I guess I could have not been so lazy and started it myself.

Today I did a new FIRM tape - Volume #1 Body Shaping Basics. It was the original tape. The floor work was very difficult and my thighs were either burning very heavily or they were getting cramped. I couldn't tell which or if it was both. The ab work must have been great because my abs are very sore right now and I haven't had sore abs since I started back in January.

Good News- I got my treadmill last weekend. The basement isn't finished but I threatened to join a Gym. Guess he figured this was cheaper in the long run. It was very difficult getting it down the stairs into the basement because we put it in our van and didn't have it delivered so I had to help. It ended up putting two huge gashes in his newly drywalled, spackled and painted walls. I told him see, we should have gotten it before.

Last night I did the TM for 55 minutes and I alternated walking and running every 5 minutes. I ended up running for a total of 15 minutes and it felt good. I have not run that long at once in ages. It gave me more confidence that I could do this marathon. I ended up going 3.5 miles and I burned over 500 calories.....Woo hoo!

Evansmom- The sun is out here too, I haven't seen it in about a week. Also, remember that once you start adding in points to get scared and back off if you see a quick spike in weight. Give it a few weeks and watch it. I hear that some people panick because your body is saying hey, more points and puts on some water weight. It will eventually level off and find a comfort zone. Some people panick and immediately go back down in points and never truley find out what thier bodies need. Essentially they eat less to maintain because their bodies go into a starvation mode and the metabolism slows down. Just add the points in slowly, and keep at it.

Bev- You would think with all the TM'ing you do that your weight would be melting off. Sorry to hear your at a plateau. If you want, I will committ to signing a contract.

Tammy- We miss you in chat! Have fun camping this weekend! Thanks for starting the thread.
 

Melc - you wasted no time getting that "baby" broken in! Men- why can't they just listen to us :p

Nikki- we are keeping you to your word that you are adding more points. We like you thin, but not unhealthy. You are exercising so much that you need those extra points.

I did the female fat zone workout with Denise A today. I skipped a couple things that put the twinge in my knee. I think I will do low impact aerobics in the morning and then Sat is a day of walking - I am planning on it being outdoors - that is okay by me!

Melc - thanks for the contract, too, offer, I haven't really decided just what I am doing yet. I think I am very close to being really committed again but I won't start until Monday if I do that. I am fine if it is just me, but hey if you want to join me, I welcome that too. Aren't you getting really close to your goal and I don't want you doing what Nikki is doing - same comments go for you too ;)

I know ohmom is thinking that Monday is her day to committ too - but I keep saying - don't do it if you aren't really ready - she really looks great and maintaining through all her stress of late is really an accomplishment!

I say let's just "all" (Yeah everybody!!!) meet at some health spa and talk this and everything else over - I think that would help me get back into the committment of getting these last 10 pounds off!!! And I know that TammyNC could use a good massage right about now - heck who wouldn't like one? Luvmydogs - we miss you and wish you could give us a quick update - we want you to come too!!

Okay - reality check - dryer just beeped - gotta go fold clothes, dishes to do and a mom to call and check on for the day - but, I still could have a bag packed in a moment's notice ::yes::
