WISH Check- in Week Of May 18

Hahahahhahahahahahhaaaaaa!!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Katholyn! I believe they are even sweeter when posted from WDW. ;) I have a confession though. And it is what made me start this post with laughter.... Every time I read someone posting "I only lost" or they seem disappointed in their progress, the first thing that pops to my head is.... "Oh they are SO busted when Katholyn reads this!" tee hee Thanks for always reminding us of the importance of the journey!! You are making this a great ride!!

I got duely scolded by Kath...lol. Kath, I plan on enjoying myself in WDW, and you are right I will not complain about any weight I will have gained when I get back, because I was there to have fun with friends and will have accomplished that ! :) :)

Thanks for all you do here :) :)

Dear Katholyn,

I hope you are having a magical vacation and it sure is nice of you to take time out for us!

In answer to your question I have lost 5 1/2 lbs since joining WISH and I went out and got my 5lb clipart today - yeah!

Thanks again for your kind words and support and it's fantastic that even on vacation your 100% OP! Listen, I know you're a successful ATKINS, but you'd be a fantastic WW leader - have you ever considered it?

Enjoy the rest of your wonderful trip!

As usual, after I read Katholyn's NOVEL of everyone's postings- I AM ENERGIZED AND THRILLED! You guys really accept my jumping up and down with a loss or a plateau- so I'm gonna do more...
But I had to laugh at geetey's comments- that's exactly how I felt when I read Kelsie's post about giving up- I couldn't wait to see how Katholyn would respond- ;) But even when she's scolding her sweet heart and words come through to truly lift and encourage us. I have to attribute my attitude and stick-to-it-tiveness to this board- I have "known" for 4 years that this weight needed to come off- and have tried but never lost more than 8 pounds (after having baby #3) only to gain it all back and sometimes more. But it's just become a fact that I WILL reach my goal and I WILL walk in that marathon and I will NOT look back only onward and downward. And soon I'll be posting my every 20 pound loss picture. Thanks everyone, and a special hug to Katholyn who even on her vacation finds the time to send gold out to everyone- much too special!

Tara

I jumped in to read how everyone is progressing. What an inspiration! Thanks to all who have been kind enough to share their progress and struggles. It helps me too.

Katholyn...wow you amaze me! Thank you for being here.

I lost another pound today! I was hoping for more, but next week will be a banner week. It will be my 3rd consecutive weight loss week, I am ready to get out of the yo-yo pattern. That is my goal for next week. I hope to loose 2# but even if I only loose .1# as long as it is a loss, I will be happy!

Katholyn--

Thanks so much for your post! You are right, I should be more excited. Truthfully, I am pleased, I am just such a perfectionist! So.....:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

And....I had no idea you were in WDW this week! I hope you are enjoying your trip! It is so sweet of you to take the time to check in with us!

Have a great rest of the trip!

Back from WI tonight...another 1.6 pounds of fat forever gone. Total loss is now 18.3 pounds! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

This is a remarkable loss for me because I have been attacked by the BF big time and she brought along the worst munchie cravings I have had in a long time! So I am indulging myself for 1 day and then back on points tomorrow. I usually don't go back on a diet after I screw up one day, but now I know with the WW program if you blow one day..it won't kill you and I don't feel at all guilty for choosing to be off points today!

I had dinner tonight with some dear friends. Joe aka Zarr, Bob Brazeal and Fantasia Sam and her SO Paul. We ate at the Concourse Steakhouse...very atkins friendly and very yummy. I had a ball spending the evening with them. I haven't seen Joe, Bob or Sam since December. I loved meeting Paul, he is a sweetheart :)

<b>PRINCESS VIJA</b> What a wonderfully positive attitude you have now Princess V. What a turn around you have made. Positive attitude and positive results! Good job, my friend.

Another pound is gone forever. You are losing steadily, even if you aren't losing as quickly as you would like. You are <b>still</b> losing. Excellent!

I am sure you will do well this coming week. You are determined, you are motivated and it shows. You should feel proud of yourself, sweetie, <i>I'm</i> sure proud of you!

<b>Nancy</b> Look at you go! Another 1.6 pounds gone forever and that 20 pound loss clippie is practically in your signature now!

You are doing so well. I hope that you are smiling tonight. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself. You have made me smile and I'm just so proud of you. Good job!

I truly want to post to the threads here on WISH tonight but I am tired. I will have to skip the posts about losses for now. Somebody tell them to help me out by posting to the check in thread. I'm too tired to find the other posts tonight.

I love watching everyone progress toward their goal :)

Woo-hoo! Was up earlier this week, but today weighed in at 142.25, so that's a .75 pound loss, not too shabby!!!!

I think from here on out my focus is going to be less on what the scale says and more about my measurements and BF%. I used a BF% calculator I found http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html while doing a search. If I enter my starting weight and measurements, I was at 35% body fat on March 9th.

Entering my data today, I am at 22% body fat, which is a loss of 13% over 11 weeks (minus a few days). WOW!!!!! My total inches loss to date is 16 3/4 (a 1 1/2 inch loss between May 16 and today. WOW!!!!

So, my old goal was to get to 140 and then possibly try for 135. Now if I just make it to 139 that would be a treat, but I am not going to focus too much on the scale numbers. My other goal was to be a size 8, comfortably, so we'll see how that goes. My new goal is to get to 18% BF and see how sculpted my stomach looks. :) I know I have at least another inch or two to carve off my abs, so a 27 inch waist would be nice. Today it measured at 29 3/4", which DH had to measure twice because he thought it was a fluke!!!!

This is great news for me today as we are leaving for England this afternoon and I am under my original goal of 145 by today. :) Just hope I can maintain while I am there!

Kath...you got to meet up with Bob, Sam and paul...Lucky you! If you run into them again give Sam and bob a big hug and tell them I miss them.

Thanks also for all your words of support...I am very proud of myself, especially because this was such a bad week for me.

Congrats to all the losers!!!!!!!
Well, I posted mine separate, but here it is again!
I lost 2lbs this week...I am so happy. Didn't hit that new clippie goal, but that is okay! I can do it....and so can all of you!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck this week coming up.....I will be in Florida...miss you all!

Kamy

TigH: I tried that bodyfat site and came up at 33% :(

It also said that my ideal weight was 110lbs :p . Maybe when I was in the 7th grade!

I know its right about the body fat percentage though - I've been feeling mighty jiggly lately!

How do you (realistically) calculate your ideal weight? The government regs have always seemed high to me but 110 lbs - no way.

Way to go everyone!!! My first week here but wow - look at all the pounds gone forever...

Not a good check in for me this week, but I guess it's a lesson learned!

We went away last weekend and ate out for every meal. For some reason, when I eat out, even if there are healthy choices I tend to get whatever I want, which is usually not the best choice! For example, for dinner one night I had lobster ravioli in sherry cream sauce and 2 glasses of wine!

So anyway, when I weighed myself early this week, it looked like I had gained 2 pounds. But this morning, it was only 1 (if the word only applies here!) pound. Very frustrating, but not altogether unexpected. I'm drinking lots of water and vowing to do better this weekend!!

Well, I'm holding steady... no weight loss this week but no gain either!! (Whew... I wasn't very "good" last weekend, lol!)

So I'm still at 6.8 overall and 2 since I started WISH :)

Katholyn, your post brought a big smile to my face and even a LOL!!! You are so right to be happy with 1.4 loss. At the time I wrote my post I was comparing myself to my SIL, who had lost 3 lbs. when we weighed in together. I know its not right to compare ourselves to others but sometimes its easy to forget!!!

You are such a sweetie!!! Hope your vacation continues to go great and its awesome that you are sticking to plan!!!

Keep up the great work EVERYBODY!!!

Okay, I tried posting this morning but the computer disconnected and I lost it!!! so I'm trying again....

Lost .6 this week (what I gained last week) and school is almost wrapped up and I'm off to Disney Sunday!!!

I'll report back after 2 weeks of camping at Fort Wilderness. Hopefully with 2 weeks of long dog walks, even longer bike rides, and lots of park walking I won't have too much damage to report!!! I'll be starting a new WW group in a new place when I return and with the vacation and new scales I can just hope. Oh well, this is a lifetime journey and I can handle whatever comes around! I hope my eating habits have changed enough that I will be okay....I'll let you know!

Everyone else keep up all the good work! Talk to you later!!

lost 1.2 pounds this week. I'll take it, it's a LOSS!:)

Felt better at the Weight Watchers meeting today when the leader said People who have less than 50 pounds to lose will lose slower and short people will lose slower. I fit into both categories, so as long as I'm losing I'm happy!:)

I gained one lb. instead of losing and I'm so disppointed. As big as I am, I thought that I would lose 6 lbs. again, but I won't give up.

Good luck everyone this week. Congratulations to everyone that lost lbs., inches, or maintained.

Best wishes and encouragement to the rest of us that might have gained this week. We can do it.

I did my WI in yesterday and maintained. No loss, but no gain. Keep up the good work everyone. If you lost this week, congrat's. For those of us who maintained or gained this week, we just need to dust ourselves off, not beat ourselves up and kick it up a knotch for our next WI. Have a wonderful holiday everyone:D .
