Hi fellow WISHers! How was your week? Did you lose lots of pounds? Well I didn't :( but considering it was a very stressful week and I didn't get in ANY exercise and made some bad  food choices I will take staying the same AND be happy about it!! :Pinkbounc

So tell me how did you do?

Well.. Confession is good for the soul AND for weight loss?!?
Early this week I posted a confession that I had not been on the boards 'cause I had not been following Atkins well, had gained 2.5 pounds, and wasn't committing to following the plan 100% until after the holidays... however, after posting I realized that I felt better, didn't go off plan for the rest of the week... and I LOST the 2.5 pounds! So I am now at my lowest weight so far, and though I don't have any binges in mind, I do know that I will be indulging over the next few weeks. I will happily settle for maintaining this weight until after New Years.

One thing I did realize was that even if I go off plan for one meal or for one treat, I don't have to eat that way for the rest of the day/week/ month... I can go right back on, and not only do I feel better, I am more committed.

Sorry for the long post, but HOORAY for all of us!

Finally! I lost two pounds last week! For me, that's terrific.

I do get weighed a couple of times a week besides Sunday (my official day), and I had the pounds lost by Tuesday. I was hoping for at least another by today but, hey, this is better than my last few weeks.

I'm only one pound away from a new clippie.:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I lost 2 pounds this week, to bring my WISH total to 49 and my overall total to 60!!! I'm feeling pretty good about myself today.

Good luck to everyone in the week ahead...the holiday season makes weight loss that much tougher. I baked cookies for my family yesterday and they were calling my name. I didn't eat a bite and am especially proud of that. :)

There is so much going on right now and I'm stressed out! Tough couple of weeks (changing jobs for me, family moving, DH might lose his job, plus holiday stressors). I gained 1.5 pounds. Some poor food choices and not enough exercise. I also haven't been on the WISH or DIS site at all in the past week or so until today.

I might not have one this week's fight, but I am prepared and WILL win the BATTLE overall! Still motivated and I will succeed!!

Hope everyone is doing well!

kayeandjim00, congrats on maintaining this week. That's tough to do during the holidays.

Otto's Doll, way to go getting rid of those lbs that crept back on. You've got a great attitude about getting back on track.

nancyj_pa, I hope we'll both be celebrating new clippies together next week.

addicted_to_WDW, you should be felling good about yourself. You're doing AWESOME!

joats, I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. Any one of those thing by itself would be a serious stressor. Hang in there and take it one day at a time. Things will get better. Please remember to stop by the WISH board any time for support or even just a :) or a

After not losing much the last two weeks, I finally get to report a lost of 3.2 lbs this week. I'm just 1.1 lbs from my 45 lb clippie and 1.8 lbs from ONEderland! :)

It looks like Santa just may be granting my Christmas wish to meet both of my goals. ::yes::

I just joines WISH yesterday so -uh- I haven't lost weight this week. Like some of the others, I will be happy maintaining my weight through the holidays but this forum may inspire me to lose a few pounds before the beginning of the year. I can't wait for my first loss clippie!!:bounce:

I got back from 12 days in FL on the 8th. I wasn't strict about following Atkins, so I didn't expect to lose any weight. I also hoped to not gain any. When I weighed myself on the 9th, I was at the same weight as before my vacation, and I have since dropped a few more pounds...so I'm happy.

I maintained over the last week. Had hoped to drop the 1.5 lbs I had gained at WDW but it didn't happen. Too much stress at work and too many treats at home. I wasn't very strong last week and didn't exercise at all.:(

This is a new week and while it is going to be a very stressful one (2 work parties, a job interview, and hosting an open house here at home) I'm going to try and be much better at making choices and I'm also going to try and get some exercise in.

I'm proud of all of you who have lost this week. As for the rest of us - I'm proud that we still are posting and keeping track of our weight! Here's to a great week for everyone.

Well,
Only one pound for me, but I did attend 2 parties and it is that TOM. Hopefully this week will be better.

Hi everyone!:wave2:
This week I lost the pound I gained in WDW. I hope everyone is well this week. Don't be too hard on yourself this time of year. There are so many temptations out there, it is really hard to pass on all of them. Just move past it and get back on plan. If you think the temptations may be too much maybe plan to maintain until after the holidays. That way you aren't too upset when the weight isn't coming off. I know I am happy to see the scale go down, but I am not expecting it to move down too much because of all the parties and eating out. Good luck to everyone this week!:sunny:

I did great all week until I went to a wedding Saturday. It was a very simple wedding, certainly nothing wrong with that. But the caterer's food was so-so at best (awful at worst) and the cookie table was full of wonderful things that all of us homebaked and contributed to the couple. I'm on a self-made modified Atkins and trying to stay away from sugar. I'm not a coffee drinker and our drink choices were coffee or punch. No water (unless you wanted to go get some from the bathroom faucet :crazy2: :scared: )

Anyway...a tough situation and I had cookies and punch. I've been keeping track with ketosis strips and there is a minor amount of fat coming off. Not as much as I usually get but not totally nothing. So I can't complain with that.

But I'm right back at my plan..eating low-carb and exercising to my Firm tapes and my total weight loss has been at 7 pounds. I plan to stick hard through this week and cut myself some slack while I'm in WDW next week!

I'm down 1 lb for the week. I really need to start exercising again. While I'm losing weight, my tummy seems to be going nowhere. Hopefully once finals are over at the end of this week I can get back to doing WATP 3 times a week.

I weighed myself yesterday, a day before my official weigh in day, and I will NOT be doing that again. It sets you up for disappointment. I had lost 3.5 pounds which would have earned me my nice new 15 pound clippie but this morning the scale showed 2.5 pounds as a loss. I would have been perfectly happy with that if I had not seen the 3.5 loss yesterday. I did do some giggling on the scale and got it to read 3.0 pounds lost but I weighed myself one more time before I got dressed and it was at the 2.5 pound loss so that's what I am sticking with.

I don't mean to be a complainer because I have lost a total of 14 pounds in two weeks and that's awesome! I was counting on about 10 pounds lost during this 2 week period so I am at least 4 pounds ahead of the game. Repeat to self, "Only weigh in once a week, only weigh in once a week . . . ". Congratulations to all my fellow losers and to those that have not lost this week, please keep up the good work. It will happen!!!

I could not believe it when I got on the scales yesterday ... I am down 1/2 pound from the last time I actually checked in here, and it gives me my 35 lb clippie !!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I think that someone is looking out for me, 'cause I did not exercise even once last week, I haven't journalled in over a month, and it's almost TOM so I'm usually up at this point??? I cannot explain it, nor am I about to try ;) I guess Santa just gave me my present early. Now I just need to figure out how to change the clippie. It doesn't look like I can just change the 30 a 35 like I used to do on the 5-25 lb clippies.

Congrats to all this week ... it's a challenging time of year, so here's an extra :grouphug: for everyone.

<font color=blue> Hi everyone! I have lost just a little over a lb this week but...............

I get a new clippie! WOO HOO!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I lost 7 pounds! Of course I then went to our annual family holiday open house and blew it. My mom makes these sinful cream puffs with bavarian cream. She makes them once a year, and they are huge. I ate one. But today I am back on the low carbs with massive amts of water. My goal until New Years is to keep my new clippie.

Hi everyone:wave:
I maintained this week:(. I did cheat quite a bit over the weekend - at least I know why I didn't loose anything :o .
I've had a really good day today:D with no cheating, - I'm going to try really hard untill Christmas.
Hope everyone has a great week
Helen

I am happy to say that I have lost 2.5lbs this week. Makes up for the 1.5 gain last week. But frustrating because because I need to lose a measly .5lbs to gain my next clippie. Oh well next week. :sunny:
