WISH Check-In Week of 4-6

I've lost four pounds since starting WISH. But I can't remember when I started. Two weeks ago, I think.

It was two pounds one week, and two pounds the next. I think. I'm loosing my mind.

This weekend I finally had to part with my favorite jeans. They have been baggy for about a month, but just won't stay up any longer (and they make me look fat :p ). I went through my closet and wound up throwing half the stuff in a garbage bag ( they will make great maternity clothes at some point later in life). Then I went out and bought a new pair of jeans that fit perfectly!! Next week I must go shopping for a bathing suit, which I was too afraid of doing this weekend......

The scale at WW said I lost 3 pounds this week. That seems high, but I stayed on plan all week and did about an hour of exercise each day.

Total WISH: 16 pounds (yeah a new clip art!!)
TOTAL since 1/1: 30 pounds !!!!

23 Days and 7 Pounds to lose before I go to DISNEY!!

Keep up the great work everyone!!!

-Amy

I did make it to the Y this afternoon - and I was down one pound! YEAH!!! I was hoping and wishing!! I "felt" a little less puffy in the tummy, and it was down one pound! It was also encouraging to think that was an afternoon weigh-in, usually I weigh-in in the mornings.

So, that's a whole grand total for me of 2 lbs in about 3 weeks on WW, but I'm still struggling with weekends!

Could I dream of the 5 lb clippie by Easter???

Lat check in here...first week I was down 2 lbs....So, next monday I hope it's the same....I was just easing into my low carbs last week, had a chip filled weekend:eek:   ...But got back on track Sun....The past few days I've cut back even more on my carb intake...pretty close to 15 a day....not bad considering it was probably in the 200's before...

Can't wait to get my first clip art ...hopefully next week...:D :D

<b>perfectmatch300</b> You lost .5 pounds despite your celebration? That's wonderful news. Good for you. You are losing steadily, who cares if you lose slowly, you're <b>losing</b> and that's all that matters.

<b>dmonroe</b> I'm so pleased to see you here with us on WISH. I'm on Atkins too, love it, love it, love it. You will be trading up to the 5 pound loss clipart very soon, I bet.

I lost 7 pounds my second week on Atkins, I hope you lose at least that much. Good luck!

<b>believe</b> I'll bet you aren't too far away from your goal. Get to drinking your water and see if you can't drop that water weight. Let us know how you do.

<b>lmhall2000</b> I like your attitude. You are enthusiastic and determined and I, for one, appreciate your enthusiasm. Good for you losing 4 pounds and walking every day. I'm happy and proud for you.

I'll bet you have another great week coming up. Visit us here on WISH everyday, to keep me on the straight and narrow ;)

<b>Rhonda</b> What do you mean 1 pound doesn't sound like much? Weigh in with 0 loss for a few weeks and you will appreciate how much 1 pound really is. You are doing great, my friend! I'm proud of you and I'm glad you decided to join us here on WISH.

<b>TCKK</b> A loss is a loss. .4 pounds gone forever is progress. If you don't think losing .4 pounds is significant, run out and get a price on .4 pounds of gold.

I think you are doing great. The slower you lose the less chance you have of gaining that weight back again. Be proud of yourself, <b>I'm</b> proud of you.

<b>tiggerlover</b> I get to congratulate you twice :teeth: I love it! Good job this week and just keep on keeping on, you are doing very, very well, and I'm proud of you.

<b>geetey</b> What a great week you had! Congratulations, you have gotten rid of 4 pounds of fat for forever more. Way to go!

That 10 pound loss clippie is practically yours already. Keep up the good work, I'm really proud of you.

<b>IheartMickey</b> So shall we say that you lost 2 pounds this past week? That's a good loss. Won't be long until you have that 5 pound loss clippie added to your signature. Good job!

<b>AWilliams</b> WOO HOO!!! Look at how well you did this past week. 3 pounds gone forever. You are so close to your goal, too, I do not doubt for a minute that you can't make that goal. Way to go!

<b>ohMom</b> Good for you! Another pound gone forever. I'm confident that you will have the 5 pound clippie by Easter, easily. Just stay as motivated as you are right now. You can do this!

<b>zurgswife</b> Good for you taking control after a chip filled weekend. Sounds like you are determined. You lost 2 pounds? That is a wonderful loss, especially considering the "chip filled" weekend. I'm so happy and proud for you. You will be upgrading to the 5 pound clippie very, very soon.

I don't weigh in until Thursday. I just want everyone to know how much their success and efforts mean to me. You keep me motivated and encouraged. Onward and downward, everyone. We are all in this together!

Just got back from the doctor and I have lost 12 pounds from my last visit in January. However I had gained 5 pounds over Xmas from my last appointment in the fall. So I would say my net lost is 7 pounds.

That's great news! Where's your WISH clipart? You aren't ashamed of us are you? Nah...that couldn't be it.

Congratulations on that weight loss!

Katholyn

ok, checking in...I only lost .5 pounds, but I am bloated and yucky right nowo maybe next week will bring better news. On the measuring side thigs are even better.

When I started
2/27
chest 39
waist-37.5
around bellybutton 40
hips 38.75
thigh 20

last week
4/2
chest 37.5
waist 35
bellybutton 37.5
hips 36.5
upper arm 11.5

this week
4/9
chest 37.25
waist 34.5
bellybutton 36.25
hips 36
upper arm 11.5
thigh 20

2.5 inch loss from last week to this week....about a little over 10 inches loss since I started measuring in Feb....I will take that :)

Well I was hoping for a lower number - didn't happen. Even logged 18 miles walking - but the bright side is I am keeping the 5 I have lost off- for me that is a hooray!

Good luck to the rest of the WISH losers!
Onward and downward!

Well after a week of battling my scale I had my official weigh-in first thing this morning and while I didn't lose anything I also didn't gain. I have maintained my total 5.5 pounds lost!!! :) Now that I have weighed in this week I need to make sure that DH hides that scale from me! :teeth:

I hope that I am able to have a successful week. I have lots of challenges coming up including a goodie day here at work today, a "date night" for me and DH (only the 3rd one we have had since DS), and a weekend trip to visit a friend of mine who is pregnant and craving all sort of yummy things! ;) :) Plus I am feeling pretty crummy right now because I have a cold and getting sick always has a tendency to throw me off track because I just want comfort foods.

I am glad to see such great progress for everyone. This thread is really an inspiration and I can only hope to one day be as successful as several of you already have been.

Go Grammy, Go Grammy, Go Grammy!!

Mom, you're doing great! You have been sooooo good about staying in your points!

I have a crock-pot full of 0 pt veggie soup for the week and I'll bring you some for lunch Saturday! Then we can save our points for dinner after the Lion King broadway play!

Ok, ok, maybe I just wanted to announce that we're going to see Lion King this weekend:p

No loss this week.....I am upset, but it is my own fault....went out for our anniversary on Monday....and went out on Friday night with friends......plus I have been so busy I missed my workouts....oh well, at least I stayed the same..... Only 6 weeks till Florida, so I better get cranking! :) I plan to start my WATP tape tonight!

Great job to all you "losers" this week!!!!! :)

Kamy

Just got home from WW!!! I lost 4.6 lbs this week!!! Last week was 4.2 so they told me to watch it because I'm losing too fast. All I did was start eating at the lower end of my points every day instead of the top to see if that helped (before I was losing just about a pound a week). I'm thrilled!!!!!!! This makes 26.6 total!!!

Just made the decision this weekend to go to Disneyland in early June. I always get bad blisters on my feet when we visit the parks and do a ton of walking. I'm really hoping carrying around less weight will help!

Congratulations everyone whether you lost, stayed the same or even had an "oops" week! You all inspire me!!!

I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone! I enjoyed reading this thread and seeing all the people who have lost weight! What great accomplishments! Next week, hopefully I will have something to post!! :):)

<b>glo</b> What do you mean you <i>only</i> lost .5 pounds this week? That's a whole <b>half a pound</b>. How would you be feeling if you gained that much, huh? I <i>thought</i> so...

So repeat after me, <b>"Woo Hoo, I lost .5 punds!!!</b>

That's better. Besides your inches are melting away. You are almost to goal, sweetie. You surely didn't think you would still be losing 4 or 5 pounds a week at the end of your journey did you? Remember that Dr. Atkins wants you to lose your last few pounds very, very slowly, it's part of his plan. Sounds like you are doing everything just right to me :teeth:

<b>AlreadyexcitedGrammy?</b> You maintained your weight this week? <b>Excellent</b>! That is simply proof that you can maintain your weight once you have lost it all. I'm proud of you.

I'll bet you lose weight this next week. Keep up with that walking, WOW! 18 miles that is a long way to walk. I'm proud of you!

<b>becka</b> I <b>love</b> your attitude! How great that you maintained your weight this week. Not as much fun as losing but still progress. You didn't gain anything, isn't that wonderful?

Take your challenges one at a time and I'll wager cash money that you do well! One day at a time sweetie, don't borrow trouble.

I bet you lose something this week. Hang in there!

<b>ohMom</b> What a good WISHer you are, not to mention good daughter too. What a motivational helper you are for your mother (and me too). Enjoy that play, I hear it is wonderful.

<b>kamgen</b> Are you <i>lucky</i> or what, Kamy? You didn't gain despite a couple of eating mistakes and not working out. How great that you maintained your weight, so much nicer than gaining, don't you think?

Okay, you know the rules. We don't dwell on the past, here on WISH. Can't look back, can't beat yourself up for past mistakes. We don't even look forward around here. We only concern ourselves with this day, this hour, heck <b>this minute</b>, is all that we worry about.

I'm proud of you for not gaining last week. Now get back to working out, don't make me hunt down that wet noodle ;)

<b>Liz</b>!!!! Holy cow!!!!! 4.6 pounds in one week? You are just melting away here. Look at that gorgeous new clippie of yours. Looking good sweetie :)

Thank you for giving me so much inspiration, Liz. I can only hope to be half as successful as you have been.

<b>Beanie</b> You will posting a loss next week, I have no doubt at all. Good luck on your first week of Atkins.

This thread is always such a motivation for me. Thank you everyone for posting to this every week and for helping me keep myself on the straight and narrow.

Tomorrow is my day to weigh in. Hoping for the best :)

Katholyn

I'm up one pound this week:rolleyes:...It will be gone by next week. 'Nuff said.

Anniet...did that mean old fluid retention fairy visit your house? Didn't you lock the door? ;)

Just teasing you sweetie. I know it's frustrating but hang in there. Don't give up...<b>never</b> give up! I believe in you and I'm rooting for you. You can do this. We'll do it <i>together</i>...deal?

Believe it or not, that was last week...but for some reason, I find my body doesn't react on the scale the way I expect until a week later!

Yes Kath--it is most definitely a deal!!!

WooHoo! I made my goal weight at WW today. I lost 1 pound this week for a total loss of 26.8 pounds. Over shot my goal by .6. Think I lost about 12 of these pounds since hooking up with WISH. Now I start maintenance for 6 weeks.
