WISH check-in week of 4-27

I am down one pound for a total of 25.5 pounds. 4.5 pounds to go until I reach my goal and the shiny red clippie. I started weight training at the gym so I hope to see some muscles soon.

My biggest challenge this week is a trip to Disneyland Wednesday evening. Hopefully the ice cream carts will be gone before I get there and I won't be tempted with my favorite treat there - a frozen banana. I can do it !!!

Sending good WISHes to my favorite bunch of Losers.

<b>Rebd40</b> If I get a medal then everyone else here on WISH deserves one too. That's what we do here, encourage each other. You encourage me every time you post, so you deserve a medal too :)

<b>blanq</b> AMAZING! 3 pounds gone forever and it only took you one week to do it. Way to go! You've lost 10 pounds total and you don't even want the clippie. I can see your point, I probably spend way to much time waxing and buffing my clippie when I should be cleaning house. You are very wise ;)

You have even accomplished your first WISH goal ahead of schedule. Now, <i>that</i> is an inspiration. You have made me beam with pride today :)

<b>becka</b> Great news! You should be very proud of yourself. You've lost another 2.5 pounds <i>and</i> you followed your eating plan meticulously. WOW, <b>you</b>, my friend, are a success! I'm proud of you, very proud!

Did you see Becka's post, Rebd40? <b>That</b> is how you celebrate a loss ;)

Keep it up, becka, you are on your way to goal!

<b>Jiminy102</b> <i>YEEEEEHAAAAA!!!</i> You did say I could talk Texan to you anytime, right?

Look at you go, Holly, you are <i>smokin</i> in this losing weight stuff. WOW! You lost twice as much as you hoped? That's incredibly happy news.

Of course, I hope you know it doesn't surprise me one bit, I knew all along you could do this...hee, hee, hee I just <i>love</i> being right :teeth:

Your new clippie is just gorgeous, very flattering. You're going to look even better with that 20 pound clippie, though, just wait and see. It won't be long before you have a new one at this rate, you won't have too long to wait :)

<b>Desiree</b> <i>Uhoh....you've done it now</i>

Well I only managed to lose one measly pound

Okay everyone, ready to say it with me?

<b>"What do you mean you only lost one measly pound???</b>

Okay, Des, you're sort of new around here and I suppose you haven't had a chance to read your copy of the WISH bylaws but you just broke one of the rules of WISH. I guess I can give you a warning this time but next time you have to empty all of the waste baskets in here, those carbolite wrappers and popcorn bags can make a mess too, I would hate to see that happen ;)

Des, seriously, losing one pound in one week is great, honest it is. Do you realize that if you keep losing one pound a week you will have lost 52 pounds in one year? That's progress my friend...that's <b>success</b>. So let's try it again, shall we?

:bounce: :Pinkbounc <b>WOO HOO!!! I LOST ONE WHOLE POUND!!!</b>:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Yep that's lots better, bunches better, I like that a lot ;) Good job, just keep on keeping on, Des. You are a <i>winner</i> and I'm very proud of you.

<b>airhead</b> What is it with all of these blase WISHers?

another 2 for me total 27 lbs

Come on?!?!?!?! You lost another <b>two whole pounds of fat</b> you've lost 27 pounds all together and you aren't even just a teeny bit excited? Geesh, I have to do everything around here.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc <b>WOO HOO!!! I lost two whole pounds!!!</b>:bounce: :Pinkbounc

See how much more fun that is? I would be so happy to lose two pounds. What is it going to take for you, airhead, are you going to have to reach goal before you get excited? (I hope you know I'm just having fun, sweetie)

You are very successful at losing weight and you are a great motivating presence on WISH. I'm really glad you are in my support group and I am very happy and proud for you :)

<b>CrzyforPiglet</b> That's so exciting! Losing 4 pounds in one week is incredible. You are doing so great! And you are within three pounds of one of your goals. Way to go!

I love celebrating your successes, piglet, you make it so much fun!
Be proud of yourself, I'm sure proud of you. I just love that gorgeous new clippie of yours too :teeth:

<b>jimmytammy</b>

Any suggestions on getting the scales to move more in a week?

Ummm, liposuction? <i>I'm teasing, I'm teasing, lighten up people, it was a joke!</i>

If you are staying on program and walking every day you are doing everything right so you know as well as I do that this weight is going to come off. What you need to do is stop worrying about the timeline. The whoosh fairy will visit you one night and <i>*whoosh*</i> several pounds will "magically" disappear.

Losing .5 pounds in one week would be 26 pounds in one year. Not too shabby, huh?

I think you are doing great JT. You are steady, dependable and an example for me. Don't be impatient, I know it's frustrating to lose slowly when some of your WISH friends are losing more quickly. One of these days they will be losing slowly and <i>you</i> will be losing quickly. It's just the nature of the struggle. No one ever said losing weight would be fast and easy (well, maybe one of those Hollywood diet ads but don't believe a word). It's <i>not</i> easy to deprive yourself of foods you love, it's not easy to work out every day. You did that though. <b>You</b> did that every single day last week. That sounds like success to me, that's determination---that is motivation.

Be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you and so is everybody else here.

<b>perdidobay</b> Look at you go now! You are doing great. Glad you got rid of some of that fluid, it's uncomfortable and frustrating to carry that stuff around, isn't it?

You lost two pounds (water or fat who cares, it's gone!) and you are going to have your 5 pound loss clippie any minute now.

Are you excited? Are you happy? Are you proud? Cause, I <i>sure</i> am. Way to go!!!!!!!

<b>FergieTCat</b> You haven't been strict about your points and you haven't <i>gained</i> anything? That's wonderful news! That means you will be able to keep this weight off when you have finished losing, good job!

You are very close to that 25 pound loss clippie. It's practically in your siggie already. I have no doubt that you will lose that 1.5 pounds and have the new clippie very soon. I know you will because you are <b>successful</b> and you have decided to do it. I don't have any doubts at all. I believe in you!

<b>Hannosmom</b> That's amazing! Losing 8 pounds in one week has got to make you jump up and down with excitement, I'd be jumping up and down.

I'm so happy and proud for you. I'm glad you didn't experience any withdrawal, I didn't either. We were both lucky.

Look at that beautiful new clippie of yours. I want one like that too. With you as an example and encouragement for me and with all of the WISHers behind me, I'm going to get me one of those :)

Good job, Linda. I'm truly blessed to have you in my support group.

<b>ohMom</b> I <i>like</i> your attitude! Very positive. You are a wonderful example for us all.

I'm sorry to hear you injured yourself. Are you alright now? Please take care of yourself, we wouldn't know what to do without you here on WISH.

You will soon be losing again. To <i>maintain</i> your weight, though, and not gain in a situation like this? Well that is just awe inspiring. You are such a shining example for us all. Good job!

<b>tlgoblue</b> You have a very positive outlook. I like it :teeth: You had a road trip last weekend, TOM is approaching yet you didn't gain anything.

That is a very good sign don't you think? In a week or two the *whoosh* fairy will probably be visiting you and you will drop several pounds "all of a sudden".

Hang in there, my friend. You are doing great and I'm glad you are part of my support group.

<b>geetey</b> This is just so exciting! Two whole pounds gone forever and a brand, spanking, shiny, new clippie. WOW!

I'm just so happy and proud for you. You help keep me motivated and I really appreciate that :) Keep it up! You are on your way to goal!

<b>NHMinnie</b> Holy Cow! You lost another 3 pounds and you are only 1 pound away from that 25 pound loss clippie? Incredible! You are amazing and you are doing so well.

Be very proud--we are all proud of you. This is just so exciting, look how successful you have been. WOW!

<b>SandraC</b> What a loser you are! Isn't it great? Another two pounds gone forever and you are on your way to goal.

Let me know if they plan a Toronto or Niagara Falls meet this summer because I can't wait to see you again and I will be there, for sure. If I can find y'all....that was just too embarrassing ;)

Way to go my friend. Cherish your success and be proud of yourself. You are a <b>success</b> and a good example for us all.

<b>pixiedust218</b> I hope you are proud of yourself for maintaining that loss of yours. That's quite an accomplishment you know. You will be at goal one day and now you know that you will be able to not gain the weight back. What a positive thought that is.

I'm so glad to see you back here with us again, we missed you. I'll bet you didn't think I noticed you weren't around, huh? <b>WRONG</b>, I noticed :)

<b>faith</b> I'm sorry you are disappointed.

<b>perfectmatch300</b> I think you are very wise to lose your weight in such a slow and steady manner. A lot of us would get frustrated but you are just calmly doing what you need to do without losing sight of your goal. What a great example you are for me.

The slower we lose the less chance we have of gaining it back. Good job, Nancy! Congratulations on losing another .5 pounds. You are going to have that 10 pound clippie in no time at all, I'm sure of it.

<b>PAdisMOM</b> Don't tell me how I knew but I could tell all along that you had sneak weighing tendencies, it's something around the eyes ;)

Way to go! 4 pounds gone forever...16 sticks of butter...4 tubs of butter if you are Canadian :teeth:

I hate to tell you though that being bad over Easter and gaining is totally irrelevant to WISH. Sorry, it's in the bylaws, honest.

Isn't it in the bylaws everyone? See, I told you.

We do not concern ourselves with this past Easter, yesterday or even 5 minutes ago. We don't beat ourselves up or feel guilty. We only concern ourselves with "right now" because any time other than "right now" is in the past. The past is gone. We can't change the past. <i>So fuggedabouti</i> ;) It's over.

We take things one day at a time, one hour at a time and somtimes one minute at a time, if necessary.

You are doing great, you are a success <b>now</b> and that is all that is important. Be proud of yourself and enjoy your success. I'm proud of you.

<b>lmhall2000</b> Tara! That is wonderful, you reached a goal ahead of schedule. Look at you go! You are on your way to goal and nothing is going to stop you now.

I'm so happy and proud for you. Keep on keeping on, my friend. You are a <b>success</b> and I'm very, very proud of you.

<b>Kabuli1</b> Wonderful news and excellent progress! Losing 3 pounds in one week is something to be proud of and I'm certainly proud of you.

If you keep this up you will reach goal in no time at all.

If you want me to send you the rules for Atkins induction just send me a private message with your email address and I'll send them right out.

Way to go!

<b>AWilliams</b> You reached your final goal? That is just happy and exciting news! Are you the first WISHer to earn the goal clippie? How proud you must be feeling :)

Losing 5 pounds in one week is magnificent. I'm so happy and proud for you. Have a <b>magical</b> trip. I can't wait to see the photos.

I hope you will continue to visit WISH even though you are at goal, I need a great example like you here, to keep me motivated.

<b>Amelia</b> That new clippie is just gorgeous. Isn't success a great feeling?

I'm proud of you my friend.

<b>DiznEeyore</b> I'm glad you aren't complaining about losing one pound, I'd have to give you a demerit ;)

I think losing one pound a week is great. That's 52 pounds a year and that is a lot of fat.

Good for you, my friend. Hang in there and be proud!

<b>Tink33</b> How great you must be feeling about yourself. You are almost to goal. Another pound gone forever and that goal clippie is practically in your siggie already.

You are a great motivation and good example for me. I'm really glad you are a WISHer. You have done so well. I'm proud of you.

Congratulations to all who lost even one ounce this week. If that nasty bloat fairy has paid you a visit and you gained, hang in there you will be losing again soon. If you maintained your weight, I'm proud of you that makes you a success.

I weigh in Thursday :)

Katholyn

<b>TCKK</b> Are you picking on me? Is this a plot to make me jump and down and burn calories? Where's your joy? HEY! You lost 8 tenths of a pound...80% of a pound. That's almost a whole tub of that Canadian butter :teeth:

Oh, alright...

:bounce: :Pinkbounc <b>WOO HOO!!!</b> TCKK lost 80/100ths of a pound--3 1/2 sticks of butter (almost a whole tub in Canadian currency) and she is on her way to goal!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

<i>*gasp* *cough* *pant*</i>

I've really got to get into better shape, this bouncing and celebrating stuff is about to wear me plumb out ;)

I'm proud of you, I really am, you are a <b>success</b>!

Katholyn

Thanks Kath: :p

I really am pleased with my loss. It's just that I had just come in from my WW class and DH had supper almost ready & I was hungry :o and just didn't take the time to post anything more than the loss. Thanks for the encouragement though. It really does mean a lot to me.

I've set a goal for myself now. I leave for vacation (no not WDW this time) in 4 1/2 weeks. I plan to really kick up my exercise and get a little more serious about my eating plan and see if I can't lose 6.5bs. by then. That will put me at my second 10% by the WW goals. I know the way I've been losing the last month or so this could be really hard. But I'm going to really try and see if I can't make it. Hey, I think it's a good goal and I'm really pumped up tonight and believe I can make it. We had a great class. It was just what I needed. Between my friends at WW class and all of you here, I can't help but make it.

Good luck to everyone else and let's all keep on the downward path together :p

Again Kath, thanks for the encouragement and the jumping around. You're the best.
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi everyone,
I am down 21 pounds since I first started. I lost 5 since the last time I weighed myself on April 13.
Unfortunately, I have to pause in my fitness program for awhile. I have to go into the hospital in a couple of weeks for a hysterectomy. I'd rather be on a diet! I didn't think I would ever say that!
I hope to get back to my fitness program in a couple of months.
Say a prayer for me!
Sandy

Drum roll please

I am down to 132 pounds..that is a loss of three pounds from when I weighed the last time. I am happy and will continue the Alex challenge for a while as it seems to be working. I am also going to continue the gym and nautilus.

Thanks Alex for bringing this up.

Thanks to everyone who did it and kept me motivated....

Hugs to everyone...loosers, soon to be loosers, newbies and those of us who stall often...We made the biggest step admitting that we need to loose and trying.

HUGS!!!

WOW Glo- 132- AMAZING!!! I get chills realizing how far you've come and you're still motivated!! And everytime I read you doing nautilus it's a reminder that I need to be there too! Thanks!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

And Katholyn, HOW DO YOU DO IT? Your heart must be huge! I think next to the clippies- reading your unstoppable support for EACH and EVERY WISHER after posting their weigh ins- is my greatest encouragment. You make me realize time and time again that a loss of 1 pound is something to rejoice in and if you gain there's always next week- thank God for you and your generous spirit!
Tara

Awesome job everyone!! And Glo~ you are awesome!!! I hope to get to 132 or so before I leave for FL...3 wks to go!!!!

Well, this week I maintained, no loss and no gain....
I should be happy about it...and I am...especially since dh took me out to dinner Sat and I had key Lime pie for dessert! LOL!! :)

I am sticking to my morning workouts, at least 4 days a week, trying for 5!

Well this weekend I have a wedding to go to, so sticking to WW will be tough. I hope to balance it out with workouts!

My goal is to lose another 3-5lbs in 3 weeks......then off to Florida!

Great job to all you Losers! And to all of us who had an "okay" week, keep up the hard work! It will pay off!

Kamy

Everyone is doing fabulous!! Way to go!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I weighed in this morning and lost <b>1 pound!</b> Losing one is better than gaining!! :):) I was happy...I know that I am being visited by the bloat fairy this week and my TOM is anyday now , so I am happy with the results this week!! :)

Thanks for all the support I get from you all!! It makes this so much easier!! :):)

Hi everyone!!! I don't have time to read this whole thread right now but I hope everyone is doing great!!! I just came from WW and I am running out again to do a bunch of errands but I couldn't wait to run home first and change my clippie!!! Wahoo!!!!!! I'm soooooooooooo excited!!!! I lost 2 lbs. today making my total 31.2!!!!

Thank you everyone for all the support here!!!

Congrats to everyone! Glo, I bet you are so happy! You've done such a great job!

Sandy, prayers and best wishes to you on your hospital visit. I've been there; just remember to take it one day at a time, move a little more each day, and take all the painkillers they will give you.;)

Hi all! Everyone is doing SO great!! Even though I am not perfect, these threads are so inspiring and keep me positive.

I lost 4.5 lbs this week!! The bad news is that I have been bouncing back and forth with 3 lbs all month, so it's not a "true loss". I'm happy nonetheless!! ;) I keep telling myself that it's because I've been sick for a week. ;) Does anyone else have problems with their weight going back and forth??

As of today, I'm down 14 lbs. total since 2/10. Slowly but surely, ownward and downward... :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Keep up the great job everyone!! ;)

I was down .8 for a WISH total of 13.8 and a WW total of 43.8! Any loss makes me happy!!

My mini goal was to be down 45 by my next trip, but I'm thinking now that I should strive for 50.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can......

Everyone is doing such a great job!!

I tried on some new clothes yesterday and I got a smaller size! Clothes off the rack and in a size that's not the largest there! That's a real milestone for me!!

Can you see my grin?!?

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO :)

Last week was 3, this week was 6!!!! Down a total of 9!

Been exercising my butt off... LITERALLY :) I feel great! I'm going to keep it going. My biggest challenge will be on my cruise from May 10-17. I will indulge and enjoy myself but I plan on offsetting it with lots of activities and time in the gym!

I am so proud of everyone on this board!!! The losses are great, but the attitude is even more amazing!!!!

I am also happy to announce that despite getting that special female"visit" on Tuesday AND being out of town of business for three days

<marquee><font color=purple><font size=6> I have lost 1.1 pounds!!!!!</marquee></font></font>

I must admit though, I worked hard at it. I avoided socializing while I was out of town and may have left some business associates feeling snubbed when I chose a Thai restaurant with a coworker (where I had boiled chicken, and steamed veggies with a side of peanut sauce) over a PUB (which to me means burgers and fries) with a group of business associates from other organizations, but hey that's the price I pay for my commitment and I'm not losing any sleep over it!

I have such an overwhelming feeling that finally I control what I eat, and it's no longer controlling me!!!!!!

p.s. while I think I may have been at the low end of my range, I wasn't able to properly count points, so I will begin Alex's WW challenge tomorrow. OH and my total loss is now 4.3 pounds.....*sniff, sniff* I think I smell a 5 pound clippie about a week away!

Annie, just popped in and saw your post! Congratulations on the loss, and even more importantly, on your great attitude about taking control over the food!! I bet we see you sportin' a new clippie next week! :teeth:

I was doing weight watchers and just felt too hungry all of the time. On Sunday, I switched over to Atkins and I have lost 6 pounds so far! The man should be offered sainthood. It has been easy so far...but I still have 40 pounds to go!

I started the Wish Challenge one week ago Monday and have lost three pounds when I weighed in this Monday, the 28th. I've always been a big carb eater, so doing low carbs is very hard for me, especially at dinner. Water drinking has never been a problem though, I usually squeeze a fresh lemon into it and add a little sugar substitute, and it tastes almost like lemonade. I've started doing walking tapes, I'm doing a mile right now in twenty minutes, and hope to be up to two miles by next week.:D

Ok all.........I'm nervous.........tomorrow night is weigh-in........wish me a good day tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
