WISH Check-in Thread week of October 26, 2003

I lost 1.6 lbs this week. I'm kind of bummed, since my scales show a 4 lb loss. I did lose 5+ lbs last week, so it's kind of a let down for me. I'm trying not to beat myself up though... :duck:

Congrats to everyone with their new clippies! Let's work together to get through this Halloween weekend! :grouphug:

I'm down another lb. this week to 133. I'm leaving for WDW next week so I'm hoping I can at least maintain while I'm there. I don't plan on eating strictly low carb, but I'm going to make good choices when I can.

Thanks for the support everyone!
:D

I lost 2 lbs. this week. That makes 3.5 since taking the WISH Challenge and 48 since joining WW years ago, that I've kept off. Of course I wasn't feeling well three of the days this week. I'll take the loss though. I didn't even exercise this week because I wasn't well. My goal for next week is to exercise and get back to counting my points. I did indulge in a little bit of candy last night. I can't not have the Reese Pumpkins at Halloween! Fridays are my days I allow myself to splurge on breakfast at work and dinner out. I had some danish for breakfast and for lunch I had a lunch meeting and they fed us Donatos and cookies. I had a couple slices of veggie pizza and I did have two breadsticks and a cookie. At least I got a diet coke and veggie pizza! I would have skipped the cookie if it weren't my 'splurge day'. I probably should have stuck with one breadstick as well. I'm not sure where I'll go for dinner tonight, but will try not to overeat. I'm feeling a little blah right now...probably should have skipped that cookie and extra breadstick after all. Oh well. Maybe I'll remember next time.

I am still maintaining this week and am happy with that. I have set a two pound limit on my maintaining goal and will consider that maintaining. If I go above that, I will say that I gained.

Keep up the great work everyone. Remember that even if you aren't losing pounds you are more than likely losing inches.

tlgoblue Maintaining your weight isn't bad, you know. It's a sign that you will be able to keep this weight off once you finish losing all you need to lose.

You are probably retaining some fluid, perhaps because of the offplan foods you ate last weekend. I know that pizza always caused me to retain fluid, beer too.

Hang in there. I'll bet you show a loss next weigh in.

Disney_1derland WOO HOO! 3 more pounds gone forever. You are sneaking up on onederland and you have one of those gorgeous golden cliparts. Good job! You're doing great and I'm very happy and proud for you.

mommyflower You lost an inch?? WAY TO GO! You're 3 pounds light too, that's great.

Good luck with that halloween candy temptation, you can do it! Love your new clipart.

geetey I'm so glad that the Wendie plan is jumpstarting that weight loss for you. You have a wonderfully positive attitude this week. I'm proud of you. I'm glad if helped even a teeny bit. {{{HUGS}}}

helenk No sad smilies allowed on WISH--it's in the bylaws ;) If you were really good with your exercise that is probably why the scale didn't show a loss. You are building muscle, now, and we all know that muscle weighs more than fat. I'm so proud of you for being faithful to both your eating plan and your exercise regimen. How disciplined you are. Hang in there, I'll bet you show a loss next weigh in.

By the way, have you measured yourself? You could be losing inches instead of pounds, wouldn't that be wonderful?

bambii WOW! Another 5 pounds gone forever? Look how well you are doing. I'm so happy and proud for you. Love that new clipart.

twotoohappy What great pm buddies you have to exercise on your behalf when you are ill ;) I hope you are feeling 100% better now.

Good job dropping another pound. You are working your way to goal and nothing can stop you now!

CALIFLADY Way to go! You have achieved your first goal. Great feeling, isn't it? Enjoy wearing that ring again. You had really done so well eating sensibly and exercising. You are a WISH success and I'm proud of you.

Hope you get to have a little fun on that business trip.

MelanieC WOW! Another 2.8 pounds gone forever. What a great week you had, especially considering how close you are to goal. That 25 pound loss clipart is practically in your signature already. Way to go, I'm feeling pretty proud of you, today.

catherine WOO HOO!!!! Another 3 pounds gone forever, a new clipart and reaching onderland. What a terrific week you had. You are on your way to goal, for sure, and nothing can stop you now. How does it feel to be a success? I'm really proud of you.

welovedis What a shock it must have been to see that 3 pound gain at weigh in. I'll bet you remember to put that heavy coat down, next week ;)

You will have a good loss to report next week.

4cruisin Losing 2.8 pounds in just one week is awesome progress. Stay away from those Reese's cups and you will have a great weigh in next week, too.

I would be thrilled to lose almost 3 pounds in one week--I think you're doing great and I'm feeling pretty proud of you. Be proud of yourself!

lmhall2000 How do you do that? How do you eat candy and still lose 2 pounds? The WISH fairy was certainly watching over you last week.

I'm glad you are breathing more easily now and can get back to walking again. Good luck with your sugar free goal. You're doing great and I'm very proud of you.

kestral WOO HOO!!!! Love that new clipart. Losing 4 pounds during a stressful week (or any other kind of week) is just wonderful progress. You are on your way to goal and doing a wonderful job. Good for you!

AprilN Another 3 pounds gone forever. Good job! Sounds like you are internalizing the principles of your new and healthy lifestyle. You are getting really good at it, too.

Congratulations on whatever good news you received. I'm so proud of you for thinking the situation through and making the wise decision not to let your celebratory eating get out of control. You are on your way to goal and doing a wonderful job.

Onward and downward,

DaddyDon It happens that way sometimes, Don. You are probably losing inches instead. Have you measured yourself, yet? Be sure and do that if you haven't already.

Hang in there, the weight will start dropping again.

mowsie dreamer You are one half pound closer to goal :) We usually have smaller losses after weeks with larger ones. Good job!

t2simon You will lose that 1.5 and more once TOM is over. I imagine it is mostly fluid, don't you? Thanks for posting here this week.

Obsessed w/Disney in OH I'm so glad that things are looking better this week and you have a new positive outlook. Being positive helps us succeed. You will earn that new clipart next weigh in, I'll bet.

It's fun to see our clothing get larger. Enjoy your shopping trip.

ohMom I'm beginning to wonder if your body just likes the weight it is at now. Perhaps you are at goal already?

Thanks for posting here this week. I know maintaining isn't as much fun as losing. Happy anniversary!

cheyita Thanks for posting here. I'm so glad you are part of my support group now. Good luck with that December goal. I'm anxious to see how you do on Wednesday at your first weigh in.

squitty WOO HOO!! Another 1.5 pounds gone forever and a new clipart. It looks really good on you. Don't get too attached, though, I imagine you will be trading up again very soon.

I'm so happy and proud for you--be proud of yourself!

perfectmatch300 WOW! You lost 2 inches? EXCELLENT! I'd rather lose inches than pounds, any day. Good for you.

How exciting to fit into smaller clothing. You have done very well with this new lifestyle, Nancy. Hop back onto induction and I'll bet the scale starts showing you smaller numbers again, too.

mum4jenn WOO HOO!!! Look at that beautiful platinum clipart. How far you have come, Sheila. You are doing so well and just tearing up that road to goal, aren't you? I'm so happy and proud for you.

JenEeyore WOO HOO!!! You lost 3.2 pounds in just one week? It was a tough week, too. You did a great job.

Sorry to hear about your boss and especially sorry to hear about your daycare, that must be the most stressful of all. Hang in there, fingers crossed that you get an even better boss and that Mary Poppins takes the job as daycare provider. {{{HUGS}}}

AlisonB WOO HOO!! Another 3 pounds gone forever! You've earned another new clipart, too. Way to go! You are doing great and I'm very proud of you.

IrishAngel You ate tons of popcorn, didn't work out and you still lost 1.8 pounds? How do you do that? I don't have the talent.

Good job this week. Get back to exercising and I'll bet you do even better next week.

bunnyfoo Losing 2.2 pounds is wonderful progress, I'm glad you didn't skip that meeting. You would have missed a celebration and so would I.

Love that new clipart. You're doing a great job and I'm feeling pretty proud of you, today.

ibouncetoo I hope you and Tricia have a magical trip, Jackie. Have as much fun as possible. I know that you posted that you came within .5 pounds of that minigoal, sounds like success to me. I can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get back.

Onward and downward,

disneyfan551 Awww, don't be disappointed. I think that losing 1.6 pounds in one week is wonderful progress and success. I'll bet you earn that new clipart by next weigh in, you are so very close to earning it now.

I wonder why there is so large a difference between your scale and the one at WW. No matter, you lost and that's what is important. I'm proud of you-be proud of yourself!

nicolep91 Another pound gone forever. You must be getting very close to goal, too.

Have a magical trip! Have as much fun as possible and make some magical memories!

Marshmelo Way to go! 2 more pounds gone forever. You're doing great and it sounds like you are learning some valuable lessons about your food choices.

Sorry that you have been unwell are you feeling all better now?

jimmytammy I love seeing you check in and watching you maintain. It is very motivational for me. Thanks for checking in this week. Sounds like you have things under control.
