Hello everyone! I'm hoping to restart the weekly check-in thread here on WISH. Each week, WISH members can post to the thread, reporting their weight loss for the week, along with anything else they'd like to share - struggles and successes from the week, upcoming challenges, etc. I tend to write a longer entry, but I'm just wordy. :p

I almost didn't post this morning, but I promised my DSis and her friend (Hi Becca and Emily!) that I would finally post to my journal (and this thread), as I've been avoiding it for over a month for some reason. Anyway... I'm up a pound this week. :( I hate when this happens, because it's never related to my choices over the past week. I made basically the same choices with exercise and eating last week as I did the week before, but last Tuesday I was down 3 pounds, and now I'm up. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I could point to a big meal, or a whole lot of snacking, and say "that's the culprit". Instead I just sit here, wondering what went wrong.

I did pretty well this week, too. I really struggled on Friday night, when I was upset over a disappointment. I immediately had the urge to eat, eat, eat, to cover up the bad feelings inside. Of course, once I acknowledged where the eating urge was coming from - I couldn't let myself give into it! So I just sat there, feeling sad. At least I didn't give in to the urge - I settled for a diet Slurpee (a major treat for me these days) and a little extra light ice cream.

Oh well, I'll probably feel better tomorrow. I have been a little snacky this week, as I've been dealing with a lot of stress from my job search and other stuff. So, I'm going to crack down on my post-dinner snacking this week, only allowing myself one reasonable dessert each evening, and that's it. If I'm still "hungry" (but probably not really), then it's time for more water! I'm also going to increase my jogging workout in the mornings, as it's time to bump it back up to 40 minutes. Hopefully that will get things moving in the right direction scale-wise! I really want to make it to that gorgeous GREEN 125 clippie sometime soon...

I finally got to try the new WW menu at Applebee's this week - two thumbs up! I had the Chicken Tortilla Melt (10 points/480 calories, but I only had half) along with a salad, and the Berry Lemon Cheesecake (5 points/230 calories). Yum! I was pleasantly surprised and quite impressed - I will definitely be visiting Applebee's again to check out more of the menu.

I hope you'll come and share your progress for the week on this check-in thread (and look for one next week - or start it yourself!). Have a great week out there in WISH land! :p

Hi April!
I remember these threads! I had a good week last week - down 1.5 pounds of my MS bloat. My doctor says you can get a sudden large weight gain with an exacerbation and I guess I did. That's why I haven't put my 55 pound clippie back -- I need to lose this weight first. Wouldn't you think if the pounds can jump on your body that fast, you could lose it that fast too?? :scratchin Evidently not. ;) I am happy to be moving again and moving downward on the scale! :jumping4: :jumping4: :jumping4:

Thanks for starting this thread April. I'm pretty much at a standstill where my weights loss is concerned. I think that my body's saying enough already. I'm doing a lot of exercise everyday, so I know it's not lack of exercise that causing the plateau! I guess that I'm just going to keep on doing what I'm doing and hopefully I start to see a weight loss soon! :hyper:

My first week back to WW and at first weigh in I dropped 3.6 pounds. This is good because I lost 45...stopped going to meetings and regained 15! YIKES!!! So back on track on moving downward...and I've learned my lesson...no more leaving the program.

Thank you, April, for starting the thread. I know how much they helped me when I was at this last year.

I have a goodly amount to lose, I'd say that I must be almost half way there, and then just stopped last Christmas. :( And then I inched up and up. So, I have removed my one WISH banner down to 45 pounds. BUT your 1 year post has me determined to get back on track, lose that 20 pounds and then some. (and I always think of your sprint to the finish line while I am training for the ½ Marathon.)

Terry, it is hard to move those clippies down isn't it? But we can do it, hun. I know that we can! Healthy is more than a number on the scale, though, and I know that you know that, too. :)

Catherine, you have done awesome! You are an inspiration of movement for all of us!

Nancy, good for you for losing your first week back to WW.

Well, ladies, it looks like we all have work to do. Together we can be strong.

Thank you! When I started WISH (and WW) back in Jan, this weekly thread/check-in was so helpful and encouraging! Thanks for starting this again, April! :sunny:

This past weigh-in, on Monday, I lost 2.5 lbs! Truly unbelievable! For those of you who gained temporarily, I'm the one who literally STOLE it from you. :o I didn't deserve it, but I took it. I'm sure you & I will get it back...good for YOU anyway. ;)

Seriously, after 55 lbs, I think I'm slowing down, while somewhat increasing exercise (thanks to the Challenge ;) ), but it took 4 weeks to lose the last 5 lbs. :( Hard to take somedays. :(

All in all, the WISH board is a wonderful place to come and share ALL of the events in our journey, together.

:grouphug: Thanks to ALL who participate in it!

Looking forward to this weekly thread again! ::yes::

:sunny:

Thanks for starting this thread! I had an awesome week this week. I lost 4 lbs!! I really needed that this week because last week I thought I did really well and only lost 0.5 lbs, so this week has really helped to show me that I can see results! Joining the WISH board has really helped me to stay on track. It's such a great place!

I lost 3 pounds this week, giving me a grand total of 13.8 lost since going back to WW on August 4. 19 more to WW goal, 29 more for personal goal!
