WISH Buddy Exchange Sent/Received

and loving it!! Thanks Laurie (WDWNUTZE) for my fabulous wonderful Disney/Yankee/Scrapping gift!! You picked PERFECT things for me!! It's amazing really. I was blessed and giddy along with my DDs as we tore into the package (ok, no tact but hey, it's exciting) and found three vellum packs (love vellum!) and a set of celebration stickers for my scrapping. You must know how far behind I am! Any occasion? Yep, i need to crop it!

Anyhow - I love thos car jar thingies!! and Cucumber melon is best! I also got a matching scented bar of soap and a darling holiday votive holder with Christmas Eve votive.

there's more Laurie sent me an adorable sterling-look silver patriotic snowman ornament. I love it, it's going on my "Moms" tree in the front of the house, my special ornaments!

BEST FOR LAST!! Disney Mickey Bath stuff! wooo hoo!!! I would've never pampered myself with this and it's soooo cool!! A Mickey gloved hand bath sponge and a red and green mickey head glycerin soap; and a bottle of WDW At Home body lotion (cuke/melon naturally!)

<font color=red>I had a great surprise waiting for me when I got home-my WISH package! I debated waiting until Christmas to open it, but my son said, "Mom, let's open it" and I said "okay". I lasted all of about 10 minutes.

There were many great items in my package. There were 2 of the coolest Disney ornaments I ever saw that plug into the light string and light up. My son has said those are his (haha!).

There were also some other ornaments in a sleigh basket that I am going to keep as a decoration on my end table.

I also got a Mickey antenna topper that I will put on my car as soon as I am done typing this.

There was some Stress Free bath gel and spritz and boy could I use that.

Wait, there is still more. I also got a small purse pouch for lipstick and liner, a cute heart pin, and a stoneware baking dish. I love stoneware too!

I got a beautiful glass snowman ornament, some christmas pot holders, some yankee candles, a mickey antenna topper, a set of christmas pillar candles, a cow picture frame and a cow outdoor flag! I love my gifts!!!!

Mine is the same person too, Kamy!!! I didn't realize that's how exchanges worked!

Sadeeyore/Helen, thank you for my WISH gift!! I love the Disney Christmas mug. My green tea will taste even better in it! The Mickey ornament is already gracing my tree, while the lace tree ornament is almost too pretty to hang!!! Thank you!!!

Mine is the same person too! I didn't know that that was how things were going to work out either. My DD and I were really excited to see that my package was from Beanie (DD had helped me pack the gifts I sent to Beanie). We just got home from the airport about an hour ago after coming home from WDW (I want to go back where it's warm) and my sister had been picking up our mail for us so my package was there on the kitchen table with everything else when we got home. What a nice surprise to come home to, my gift from my DIS WISH exchange buddy when I just returned from WDW!

Beanie sent me a wonderful assortment of things! I got a Mickey ornament which I love, a green (my favorite color by the way) 100 Years of Magic pen, a sticky note pad with Mickey and the American flag, a sack of Atkins and other assorted sugar free candies (yummy) and a Hersheys candy cane, and a candy cane with a Minnie finger puppet! She also sent me a mug that I absolutely love. It has Mickey through the years on it and 2003 on the handle. I almost bought myself mug when we were at WDW because often times when I make myself a cup of coffee or hot cocoa my Minnie mug is in the dishwasher and I love using Disney mugs, but I didn't because I decided we had spent enough on all the other souveniers and ornaments we bought so this was great to get as a gift!

Thanks for everything Beanie!!!! I love it all!!!!

They normally don't work that way. It is up to the organizer and Tammy probably thought is was easier to do it this way. With all the other exchanges I have been involved in people just match people up by pulling names out of a hat.

Melinda, Just a note to you to let you know your package is enroute from Italy, it has a long way to travel and being in the military mail system (especially during the holidays) it appears it is taking a lot longer than usual. Sorry if it doesn't arrive in time for Christmas....that will just give you some after Christmas treats to enjoy!

I'm so glad everyone is got/getting there gifts. We had some wonderful wishers in our exchange. I'm sorry if anyone was dissappointed/upset about the way i just exchanged with each other. I have never organized an exchange and it was the simplist (sp) way my husband and i felt i could keep up with who was getting who. We actually sit at the table and i clipped everyones names and address's put them in a bowl and while he cooked supper for us he'd pull out two names and hand them to me for the "pairs" of wishers that would exchange with one another. I hope this was okay i really did'nt know of an easier way for us to do it. I hope no one is dissappointed. I was thrilled with my wish buddy and i hope she was with my gift. I really enjoyed doing this for all of us. Maybe by next year i'll get some pointers on how to do it another way for you guys. I want to wish each of you the safiest and merryiest of chirstmas's . You all mean so much to me and i wish you the happiest and healthiest of New Years.

I really liked exchanging with the person who's name I 'drew'.
I also liked that it was a suprise that that's the way it happened.
Sending the gifts to each other really made me feel a personal bond with DoeWDW, as we each had to discover a little about the other for the exchange.

I think most of us were delighted to discover this is the way you did it. Thanks for your hard work in organizing this exchange.

Tammy, I agree with Jackie! I didn't expect to send to the same person who sent to me, but it was a wonderful surpise that it worked out that way!! I didn't post about it early on because I wanted everyone else to have that pleasant surprise.

Jeanie- I'm using the big Santa as a centerpiece on my table, surrounded by little candles. Every time I walk into the dining room, I think of you and of our priceless WISH family. Just makes me feel all warm and mushy inside!

Tammy, this exchange has been sooooo much fun!! The buddy duos added that extra little touch of unexpected spice that helped to make this a wonderful exchange!! When I realized that my buddy was KathyTx, I just started smiling from ear to ear!! I've enjoyed this so much from finding out my buddy was Kathy to this thread where all is revealed!! Thank you so much for putting this all together for us!!

And Kathy, I'm afraid I still have to disagree with you!! I believe that I had the best WISH buddy!! And I have the Sorcerer Mickey to prove it!!! (Thank goodness I still have him! My Mom wanted to make off with him yesterday!) Those were some pretty powerful whooshes you sent, too!! I was down 4.5 pounds at my weigh in last Monday!!

Sorry I didn't post sooner but I have been gone for the holidays. Thanks so much Jill for the Pooh tin, nailpolish, hand cream and candle. I absolutely love it all! I took the candle with me to my mom's house so we could all enjoy it - and I almost didn't get it back when it was time to leave since she liked it so much.

My secret Santa gift was awesome ... I got a ton of scrapbooking stuff! Nicole (JustMe28) sent over...

- A pre-made scrapbook with a Christmas theme (great for a slow scrapper like me )
- One pound scrap pack
- Two way Zig writer
- Two packs of glue

I'm hoping my package got there safely!

My package arrived today and I wanted to say a great big thanks to MelindaKiah. First of all when I opened the box all I could smell a very holiday smelling scent and it turned out to be a scented sachet....definitely put me in the holiday mood. The next thing I saw was a snowman wreath/plaque, which was very, very cute and a snowman craft box that was filled with little bits of this and that, including a present shaped candle, a santa, holiday socks, a holiday teddy bear and some candies.

Thank you Melinda! I hope yours will be arriving soon, I mailed it over 3 weeks ago, so hopefully you will get yours today or tomorrow.
