Wireless warnings

For about the same price or maybe even cheaper, you could have a wired network in your house.

It would take a little more work if the computers are not near each other or near the Internet connection. But, just like you'd run any other wire through the house (speaker, phone) you could do the same with CAT5.

I could not imagine having more than one computer and having only one with Internet access.

Of course, this is coming from someone who has 6 computers, all with wired or wireless access to the Internet.

If anyone wants recommendations, start up a new thread, I am sure you'll get TONS of advice. :)

I'm not too worried about the neighbor getting upset about me piggybacking on his connection. DFi is moving on Friday, we were going to buy a wireless router last night (we'll need it for the house) but have decided to put that off until tomorrow night since I can just access thisguy's one for now. So I'm only on his connection for another 24 hours anyway.

I love being able to use my laptop anywhere in my house. I can connect from the kitchen, the livingroom, the back yard - it's wonderful. Hard to do that with a wired network. We (at home) actually have a dual network at the moment - 2 wired PCs and the wireless laptop.
