Wireless running earphones

I really like my Motorola S11. They have ton of battery life and sound good. The worst part would be they are not as loud as I would like but guess it is saving my ears.

I have not had a lot of luck with mine. My favorites for comfort etc were the Motorola Flex S11 but they were very fragile and the band and ear connection broke within a month of use (right after the return period was up).

I bought a jawbra sport set which work well, but the battery life isn't great and they aren't the most comfortable set of earphones. They work for a half marathon but there is no way they will last through a full marathon training run. The other downside is that I have to have the phone on my right side or it doesn't make a good connection.

Then I bought a set of LG HBS730 headphones. Well they worked great - super long battery life etc until I ran a half marathon in a torential downpour. Apparently they are sweat proof and water resistant but not downpour proof. Now they are great around the office but the second I start to sweat the start to short out and won't play. So I can only get about a mile and a half out of them.

So as of now I haven't had much luck. I'm looking for something because I hate running with the cords.

I've had terrible luck with mine. I had a pair of Phillips and Jabra and after about two months with each of them, I couldn't get them to charge any more. I don't know what the deal was. Not cool though. I went back to wired ones. I'm using Beats by Dre in ear now. Sound great but now they're starting to short out on the right side. I guess I'm just really tough on headphones.

I had a Motorola set that lasted about a year before the sweat killed them. I've also got the above described Jabra set, but battery life isn't the greatest (about 2.5 hours) and outside they don't maintain the best connection to my phone.

I've gone back to wired Yurbuds and just deal with the cord.

I love my Jaybirds BluebudsX. They are supposed to hold a charge for 8 hrs of use, but I always charge them before that. I sometimes have to pair before using, sometimes not, but they always pair. They are (or were) smaller than the competition and aren't much bigger than regular earbuds.

I like both my Jaybird wireless headphones. I have the Bluebuds X which is there latest model. It holds 8 hours of battery life and the bluetooth link between the headphones and your (phone) or other music device is impressive. I also like the way the controls are integrated on the cord. I also own a pair of there Freedom Sprint headphones which holds about a 6 hour charge. Your phone or other music device must remain somewhat close to the headphones so you don't loose the connection. The controls for the headphones are actually on the earbuds which as are not as easy to control as the Bluebuds X model.

How close does the phone have to be? If worn in a running belt will it work?

The Bluebud X headphones can be worn on a running belt and still receive a signal. I've even laid my phone down and walked 12-feet away and they worked fine. The Freedom Sprint headphones did not work well for me on a belt. I would occasionally get some interruptions so it seemed to work better if I had my phone in an armband.
