Wireless router?

I have the Dlink pocket router for when I fly. But when I'm driving down here for a few weeks (like now) I just bring an extra Linksys Wireless G router I have still in the box. It has more capabilities for security. I set up all my routers to use the same security and SSID. That way I just have to plug them in and go.

Disney doesn't care what you have hooked up. Just plug it in and whatever device can pull up a web page can process the sign in sequence.

If I am using the D-Link DWL-G730AP Wireless Pocket Router/AP do I put it on AP mode or RT mode?

(sorry if this is a dumb question.)

On the same subject. Anyone using an Apple Airport express? I was thinking of buying one for that purpose (to go with a new IPad:cool1:). It is more expensive but I really like their very compact design with the power supply in the same casing as the router.

I use an Apple airport express. As PP stated easy to set up and I've never had a problem. It's basically plug N play, but please remember to set up security or all the rooms around you will be able to use your network.:surfweb:

You want to use it as a router (RP) not as an Access Point (AP).

I believe that's the same model we use. Very, very easy. If you ever forget which position the switch goes it, just try it. If it isn't working, put the switch in the other position.

Side note - if you people are smart, you'll listen to those preaching about setting up the proper security protocols, etc. But if you are dumb and lazy, I can personally attest that you can just buy the router at the store, open the box when you get to Disney, plug it in, and hey, you've got wireless in your room. No, it's not very secure. I wouldn't do any online banking. But it's no less secure than most public wi-fi spots, and the odds that there's a hacker looking to mess with your facebook page that just happens to be in the couple of rooms where your wireless signal will bleed, and that just happens to be spending their Disney time searching for facebook pages to hack are low enough that I'm willing to risk it.
