Wireless Internet?

Thanks for the reply again Vicki !

In the end I would love to buy an ASUS netbook, but I am waiting for the new ones to come with a default of 2GB of memory later this year.

Technology, pricey yet fun !

It would be nice to stop bringing my laptop to Disney, and just use the combination of an Airport Express with a new generation IPOD or IPAD for free wireless under that combination.
I wouldn't do that with a touch or an iphone---they are just too small to live on for more than a day or two. An ipad would be better---but not great if you have to do much typing. If you need to do anything serious, it's still worth having a laptop with a keyboard.

I just got an iPad 3G (thanks, work!) but I'm a little reluctant to rely on it at Disney because I like to be able to upload photos and videos while I'm there and I'm afraid I'd go over the 2GB for the monthly 3G plan. I'm still thinking about it, though. (I got the SD card adapter to upload photos, so maybe I'll just save pictures to the iPad and wait to upload them until I get home.

Decisions, decisions...

That said, I've only had trouble connecting with Airport Express one time but I reset it and then had no trouble at all. Last time I was there I took reset instructions and setup instructions and taped them to the inside of one of my Owner's Locker lids. I can't find the files I used though - I must have done it on DH's computer.

I wouldn't worry too much about the photos---unless you're sending hundreds of them, you shouldn't end up at your limit. And, if you do, you can always just start a "new month" when you run out. At $25/2GB, its barely a couple drinks with tip at the pool bar! ;)

I'd avoid posting more than very short/small videos, though.
