Wireless Internet at BWV?

I tried searching but couldn't find anything current. Does anyone know if they have wireless internet at BWV? I have never had to take my laptop on vacation before but unfortunately I have to this time. If so, is there a charge for it? If not, does anyone know what the charge is for high speed internet?

There is both wireless and high speed internet at BWV. You'll find wireless in the lobby and by the pool. In the rooms you have wired high speed internet. Use of either will cost $9.95 per 24 hour period - and they are not interchangable.

I think it's terrible that Disney charges for internet access when it's free in so many hotel chains, I wonder if they'll ever make it complimentary. I know wireless service at the pool, beach house and lobby at Disney's HH is free, anyone know why it isn't at WDW?

At a BWV DVC annual meeting in Dec. 05, it was said that they would consider offering it free to members once the infrastructure was paid for. However, the wireless internet in the lobby appears to be through an external company so I don't see that changing any time soon.

On my last stay at BWV, I connected in our room several days, but was charged only once. It was probably a mistake. Most budget hotels have free access, while most upscale hotels like Disney, Marriott, etc. still charge $9.95 per 24 hours (or more).

Thanks, Everyone. I think it's awful that they charge, too. Every hotel that I have been at recently offers it free.

I recently visited the new Marriott timeshare in HH, and they offered wireless internet for free. Again, Disney's HH had it for free but only accessible at the pool, beach house and lobby - which worked out perfectly for me, as I had to get a few quick things done for work.
However, my DH needs access during our vacations for work related reasons, my teens need it for that "tie to the friends at home" they are fixated with when we are away, and I sometimes need to access for work related reasons as well. Therefore, it would be nice if it was free access in WDW......maybe some day. In the meantime, I see no other choice but to pay the $9.95 a day when we are there. It's just nice to have choices when on vacation

I beleive I have seen people with laptops in the lobby at BWV... I think there is wifi there.

I have not been that impressed with the HSIA in the rooms of BWV. Slow, sluggish and your lucky if you can connect without having to call the Tech support.
