Every report that I have heard so far is if the unit is booked with points, then the internet is included.

There's been a couple threads lately on bringing a travel router with you and creating your own wireless bubble. Are we left to buying a 25ft ethernet cable and leaving in out OL? Do you guys have any other suggestions for the connection?
Daily Internet charge to be discontinued effective May 4, 2008
Based on Member feedback, the daily charge for wired high-speed Internet access for Members staying at Disney Vacation Club Resorts at the Walt Disney World® Resort will be discontinued effective May 4, 2008. Guests renting Disney Vacation Club accommodations will continue to pay the daily rate for access, and high-speed Internet access charges still apply to Members staying at non-Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Hmm, we have an II exchange coming up, but we are now DVC'ers. I wonder if there is a way to get our DVC # on the reservation so we do not get charged.
According to the members site, it says:
This specifically states as long as you are a member staying in a DVC location you do not pay for internet. It does not mention anything about staying on points.
I believe that if you are staying onsite in a DVC room and are a DVC member you get the free internet regardless of how you "paid" for it. I'm not saying this means that is the absolute rule but I don't think the front desk knows if you paid for it out of pocket or are staying on points.
When you check in show them your DVC member card and make sure they note it on the account. I believe that as long as your membership card name and the name of the reservation match they shouldn't have an issue with updating the ressie.
