Hi All,

I've read some old threads from early 2010--but was looking for an update. Is there wireless access from the cabins? We'll be there in July and it would be helpful to be able to have internet in the cabins in the evenings--I don't want to have to go to the hotspots. I know it's probably a daily fee which is fine, I just don't want to have to deal with renting their equipment for a hard-wired connection.

thanks!

They have a cable modem with a cable.Just plug in and its standard click to pay set up.The only catch is you have to have charging priviledges on your room key. It`s the only way they do it.

The only way you get wi fi at your cabin is if someone near to you has installed an open router at their cabin.

Of course if you are that lucky its free.:thumbsup2

As the pp posted, for a cabin the modem is already there.

At the campsites they don't rent the modem, but do have to put a refundable deposit down. Oh and pay the 9.95 for 24 hours.

Wired internet service is about $10 per 24 hour period.

There is no wireless in the cabins only cable modem internet and there is a charge as mentioned. AS the previous poster mentioned if someone else has a broadbandtogo with shared acces you might get lucky but it is a longshot.

If you travel a lot a good investment is broadband2go usb device and then just purchase time as needed when traveling. Some folks have plans through their cell phone providers depending on your needs. Virgin has one for 75.00 for the device and broadband time from 10 bucks all the way to 60 bucks. Each price point has different options for what internet needs you have.

The Virgin Mobile Broadband device works great at the Fort and now the $40 plan is unlimited internet for 30 days. You can't beat it!

Agreed! Most hotels even charge for internet now and Virgin works great at the Fort so we get lots of use out of ours. We usually get the 40 dollar plan but got a 20 dollar one to try so shall see how it goes.
