Here's a stupid question. I have Boston Terriers (see signature) and they are the only dogs I have ever had that lived in the house. To put it bluntly. . . When they do their business, they have to be wiped. In our house we have what we call the "tush check" when the dogs come back in the house. :teeth: Nothing worse than cuddling a poopy dog! So, those of you with other breeds, do you have to wipe them too?

Miss Puggles is a pug, and she has to be wiped occasionally. I check her before she comes back in the house.

My female Scottie has some issues like you mentioned. They are more frequent when she needs her hair trimmed in that area. I keep a box of Kleenex moist cloths near the door where her leash is. They are good for wiping rears and muddy paws.

My westie had the same problem especially if she needed to be groomed. I always did a "bum check" when she came in.

Uggh, this is the very reason why my mother's Pomeranian is not allowed on my furniture, she's always "muddy"

I have an austrailan shepard with tons of fur and never had this problem with her, go figure.

...you guys really wipe your dog's butt?..... Really?...... Ewwwwww :rotfl:

Better to wipe than to deal with the consequences. :teeth:

I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Thanks :thumbsup2

We have a huge thing of baby wipes by the front door.......the Shih tzu (Sebastian) is in need of them after every trek outside. :lmao:

To put it simply............I agree. I appreciate your devotion to your pets.

My Pug is clean, thank goodness. But you gatta do what you gatta do. Whcih is worse, a swipe with a wipe or being sat on by it?

No thank goodness! Our Golden has the best poop in the neighborhood...firm, nothing alive! :rotfl: Our Vet said it is because we feed high quality food, I don't know that is what he said! :dogdance:

Disclaimer:
I don't know what kind of food you feed obviously so I am NOT judging anyone!

So since the beginning of time all animals have survived without wiping their butts and all of a sudden it's trendy...my wifes Beagle is a retired show dog and spoiled as all get out but he wipes his own butt on the lawn when he's done :rotfl2:

we keep baby wipes by the door! I would rather give him a quick wipe than to have him wiping himself all over my rugs or furniture!

I have a BT and no, I don't have to wipe her butt.

Well we do keep our African Parrot in diapers so when he's flying around the house he doesn't crap everywhere...he lays right down when it's time to be changed :thumbsup2

I am not sure why people are surprised...if the dog has poo on him...he needs to be wiped off or it will get in your house. :confused3

we have to do this sometimes...long hair on our Malti-poo. sometimes one gets stuck...yes I know gross...and we have to put him in the sink and wash it off. :rolleyes1 :laundy:  :crazy2:

You wash your dog's but in a sink where you wash dishes or brush your teeth...would you wash your own but in either of those places :confused3

:sad2: Well, now I've heard it all. In my whole life I've never even thought to wipe my dog's butt (and I ain't startin now!)
