Wipeout!

The two Johns were trying to be like the guys on MXC but it wasn't working for me. The show was funny but I'd rather hear from Kenny Blankenship and Vic Romano. :thumbsup2

This is what I was worried about. I can't see how any immitation can be as funny as the original. Kenny and Vic::thumbsup2

I thought some of the commentary on Wipeout was great, like when the woman hostess, watching one of the competitors bouncing between those giant balls like a pinball and then fall into the water, turned to the camera and said "I can watch this all day".

I just posted about I survived a Jap. game show and I am dying it's so funny! We love MXC and Ninja Warrior and the new one, The Ultimate Banzukee or something like that so we are loving this!!!!!!!!

We watch Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke all the time. Some of the challenges they have on Banzuke are WOW!!! The course they do while walking on their hands - holy crap!! The stilts and bmx bike courses look really hard as well, but just the thought of doing that course on your hands. When we watch these, theres a lot of wow and ahh's and ohhh that had to hurts from our little peanut gallery.

We watch Ninja Warrior, Unbeatable Banzuke, and MXC all the time. We were so excited to watch Wipeout and thought it was sooo boring. :(

Haven't watched Japanese Gameshow yet - had to DVR it - Hell's Kitchen was also on!

I hope they have the same commentators (is that a word? :rotfl: ) next week. I remember at the beginning though when they introduced them they said, "And here is X, filling in for X." So we will see. I thought it was hilarious how the tall guy kept getting taller with every stunt. First he is 11 feet tall, then 13 feet tall..and the hottie gogo dancer- call her for $2.95 a minute. Priceless. :lmao: And how they were commenting after the dizzy wheel. The show was great, a much needed laugh!

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

As one of the commentators put it: "Wipeout - the show where contestants risk bodily harm as we all point and laugh."

Is it even possible to make it accross the big balls????

What channel are the shows Ninja Warrior, Unbeatable Banzuke, and MXC on? You all have me very interested.

I have not heard of the first two shows (I will look for them), but MXC is on Spike TV.

While watching MXC recall that Kenny and Vic are real announcers for the actual Japanese show (not their real names, however). It is simply funny 'English dubbing'.

That reminds me, what was the name of that old, old Woody Allen movie where he took a Japanese spy movie and dubbed it? I saw it again a few years ago and forgot how funny it was (at one point, the 'hero' is standing around with his gun, looking for the hidden bad guys; suddenly, one bad guy pokes his head out and yells "I'm not wearing any pants!"; the hero quickly turns and shoots).

Tiger Lily?

Well I watched it, and was bored to death...I really thought I woud like it, I even had added to my TIVO list..but it was boring to me.. Its like Survivor, combined, with Fear Factor, all rolled into one.:confused3

Wipeout was perfect, mindless, summer fun! I laughed and laughed! The Sweeper was my favorite - those falls were just classics, especially when the blonde go-go dancer just hung on when the thing came around and hit her stomach because she was laughing at the other guy who fell off! :rotfl2:

I thought it was hilarious how the tall guy kept getting taller with every stunt. First he is 11 feet tall, then 13 feet tall..

And then "here comes Sasquatch." The comments really were funny! Wasn't it funny watching the "tall guy" try to keep from getting dizzy by keeping his eyes focused on a certain point when they were spinning around? :rotfl2:

watched it and loved it!

especially the end stunts - we'll be watching it!

(bump)

I am always impressed when someone makes it across the Big Balls, like in the first episode last night. (I haven't seen the second episode from last night, yet.)

Loved it!! Funny funny funny! I think now I'm going to have to watch the Japanese Game Show since so many of you love it!

Wipeout returns on June 1 for its third season. 18 episodes are planned.
