I was looking at the schedule for December 19 & 20th and this is listed at 5, 5:15, 6:30, and 7:30. What is it?

It's a little ceremony/show/thing where they light up Sleeping Beauty Castle. It's worth seeing but IMO not worth going OUT of your way to see. In 2009 we rushed out of California Adventure early to make it over to DL in time to see the "show"...totally not worth it to me. :confused3

So do they turn the lights on and off for the four "shows"? That seems a little silly.

The Castle is lit to some degree all night - it's never totally dark. BUT there is a dramatic change when the icicle lights come on, which is what the Wintertime Enchantment is. After the icicles come on, they stay on for a short bit, then fade. Then they come on again. Then they fade, etc. One time I went racing up to get a PhotoPass picture taken in front of the Castle - just as the icicle lights turned off and the Castle went back to its usual lighting - which made for a boring photo!

Finally, after a certain point in the evening, they leave the icicle lights on for the rest of the night but I couldn't say what time that is, exactly. All I know is that I finally got a PhotoPass picture in front of the icicle-lit Castle after 11:00 p.m.!

Will I be able to see this from our Holiday Tour parade seats? The parade begins at 5:30 and it looks like there is a lighting at 5:15.

I'm not sure. I know that on days when there are 2 parades, the early parade starts at IASWH and moves down Main Street, while the later parade (which would be in the 5 p.m. hour) starts on Main Street and moves towards IASWH. I'm not sure if your seats will be near IASWH or closer to Main Street.

There is only one parade on our day at 5:30. Guess I'll find out in 16 short days. :dance3:

The Holiday Tour reserved seats for "A Christmas Fantasy" parade is right across from IASWH. I knew that when I did the Holiday Tour back in 2009 that it was right across the from IASWH.

"Wintertime Enchantment Holiday Lighting" is a very nice short show while people are waiting for "Believe...In Holiday Magic" fireworks at night. I mostly call this show "Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle" show while I am waiting for the fireworks.

So the seats are in the same place, whether the parade starts at 2:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., and no matter which direction the parade is headed? In other words, even if the parade starts on Main Street and ends at IASWH the reserved seats would still be at IASWH? I've seen seats set up on Main Street before (facing Main Street) - what are those for? Fireworks?

I would assume most likely that the seats will be right across from IASWH for both parades. I remember reading from other DISers on the old Holiday Tour Info thread that the people that participate the Holiday Tour will be watching the parade from IASWH regardless if it is the 1st or 2nd Tour. I've read in the past that they did have seats set up in MS for the Holiday Tour in the past, but I don't know where I read about it. That must have been neat to watch the parade from MS in a reserved seating. I have seen benches set up around the Hub in front of SB Castle for the fireworks, but I would guess that it is for the VIPs.

If you haven't seen the Holiday lightning of the castle (and you, like me, can't wait till you get there...) then you should look it up at youtube! It just looks amazing....

I did the holiday tour on Monday and for the 5:30 parade, we were all seated directly across from IASW. I don't think anything has changed with it.
