Wintertime Enchantment Holiday Lighting at Castle

On Saturday, January 5, the times on Disney's website indicates the times as 5 pm and 5:15 pm, 7:30, 8:30.

Why would they have a show at 5 and then another 15 minutes later?

I'm curious about this too. Is this the snow? When and where does the snow happen? I've heard main street, castle, iasw. I have also heard snow happens several times an evening. Are these the times?

I'm not sure about the lighting but from my experience snow happens at New Orleans square by the fantasmic seating area as well. I don't know if it happens several times an evening, but it definitely happens right after the fireworks.

I will be there on a day trip tomorrow and plan to see this. My understanding is that it is progressive. Each time they unveil a little more. So that is why it can be so close together at 5 and 5:15.

It is progressive. My family saw two different castle lightings with snow while we waited near the top of the hub for Fireworks last Tuesday evening. I missed the first one while I was off buying dinner but my DH told me about it. I did see the second one while he was off buying dessert.

Just as an aside, I wouldn't personally make it a HUGE priority to see the lighting. If you're in the area, great, but several years ago we rushed from DCA (missing riding Soarin', my mom's favorite!) just to see the "lighting." Not surprisingly, we were not particularly impressed.

It's definitely a nice bonus if you're around, but even if you have plans to see it, I wouldn't specifically miss out on doing something else to get there--unless it's gotten notably more impressive since circa 2009.
