Winter wedding colors

My daughter is getting married in Jan and she has picked very light blue bm dresses and then pale pink for the flowers. I told her it's her wedding, she could have any color she wants.

Kcampbell: I know this is a random question, but I noticed you are from Naples. How far of a drive is Naples from WDW? I'm asking because my parents live there and were complaining that WDW is going to be an inconvenient drive for their friends-she's been trying to con me into a wedding in Naples & I am standing my ground and saying no!;)

OMG that's kinda funny they think it's far! It takes roughly 3 hours from Naples (sometimes less depending on traffic and how much of a lead-foot one has). I mean, we make day trips to Orlando b/c it's such an easy drive so if Disney is in your heart- don't let your mom use travel as a reason not to have your WDW wedding. :thumbsup2

And just so you know- about 1/2 our guests made the trip from SW Florida (the rest from all over the US) and no one complained once about the trip!

We live in Ft Myers which is about 30 min north of Naples. We were married in December too on the 5th and the family from Ft Myers all made it. We had an escape wedding so no friends were invited but all the family made it and didn't mind the drive.

Our SIL lives in Boynton on the east coast. BIL came up for the rehearsal dinner the night before and she was going to drive up seperately for the wedding because she had a big clinical exam. She ended missing the wedding but still made the drive and made it in time for the dinner at V&A.

The people who matter and who want to be there will, no matter what.

My winter wedding colors were white, silver, chartreuse green, and peacock blue. You'll be in Floridia though, so really anything goes! Good luck!! :goodvibes

My advice - go to home depot and look at all of the paint chips. See what colors jump out at you. You can see hundred of shades of stuff and put them together until you have a color palate you really really love.

Another big plus is that they have mickey paint!!! The colors are kind of limited though..

I am having a winter wedding too. We picked out sapphire blue (my engagment ring has sapphires in it). We're also going to use silvers and whites. As for flowers, I'm still trying to find a good color for my bridesmaids-to go with their dresses, which are the sapphire blue. I'm not a HUGE fan of pink.

Good Luck with your planning!

Dawn's colors kicked butt! I LOVED them!

Thank you!!!!! We were very happy!

I loooove jewel tones. I think flowers in a beautiful ruby or jewel plum type color would be stunning.

I'm not sure which interfaith is which, but Blue and Silver is a little Chanukkah...i.e. Jewish. So if you guys are mixed like that, I'd say if no red and green then probably no blue/silver.

You'll be in Florida so it won't be that cold and "wintry." I usually go in January and it's 60-70, so not chilly. Pick your favorite colors if you ask me (which you did :cool1: ) or whichever ones you like best. I was thinking of wine and champange as well (haha sound like drunk!) with a light green maybe?

We're having a December wedding, and had the hardest time choosing colors. I think we've FINALLY decided on a palette of muted pastels on a background of "winter white". I'm not choosing one or two colors - but rather a whole "family" of colors. Typical pastels would be "spring-y", but muted tones would work well for wintertime. It also goes great with the Wedding Pavilion interior. It's winter-y, wedding-y, and very very Disney!

Hi Neighbors! :wave2: We live in North Fort Myers..... it's a small world after all.... (Sorry I just had to do it) :rotfl: :0)

As far as winter colors, our colors are chocolate/cocoa brown and light blue or tiffany blue, with silver and crystal accents.

I do agree though, pick what colors appeal to you, even if it's not wintery ::yes::
