Hi guys!

We are headed down to Southern California at the beginning of December, and in my planning I have noticed many theme parks (Legoland, Universal) have winter wonderland themed days where the marketing images show families playing in snow in the parkas and mittens! :worried: Haha, we are going south to get AWAY from the snow, not go find more!

Are we *really* going to need winter gear down there at these events? Have any of you experienced this? What's it like?

Haha! It gets cool at night but nothing like we see in Canada. Snow to southern California is like hot, sunny weather to us in winter, a dream. Check the forecast before you leave to get an idea but I'd take a warm coat to be safe.

However, I do remember visiting at the end of November, back when you had to line up by the front entrance to get Fantasmic dessert tickets. It was super cold that year. I was in line around 6 a.m. in my parka and toque while everyone else shivered around me. Same with New Year's Eve a few years later. We had driven down both times so I already had everything with me. When I was moving around, I didn't feel the cold like when I was standing around, waiting in one place.

Have fun!
