Hey Podcast Gang Anyone here in the Midwest may be having snow in Their hometown Be safe. I live in Columbus Ohio and right now we are under A Winter Storm Warning untill Late tonight. We could have 4-6 inches of snow that is falling as we speak. Many schools have clossed and Church Activities are cancelled as well as High School Basketball games. The roads are getting bad even with the Snow Plows treating the Roads. I am at work now so I do not know if we will be able to leave early. I hope soo I have to take the bus home and Im :scared1: :scared1:. Hope all in the Ohio , Indiana , Pennsylivania, Michigan, Illinois will get home safe in the snow.

For the most part, the storm didn't hit the Chicagoland area too hard... maybe 2-3", but it was made worse with the cold freezing the snow to the ground.
I hope the rest of the midwest/east doesn't do too much worse than us! :grouphug:

We didn't get it too bad here in Indy. 2 - 3 inches maybe. The worst part of this mess is yet to come. Subzero temps and dangerous wind chills.

You need to stop sharing your weather with New England. It is freezing here too and your snow is heading our way for tomorrow.

I know your mom said to share...but please, we don't mind if you want it all for yourself...:lmao:

Kathy, All you needed was an extra 3 car garage and a nice neighbor with a snowblower.

BTW that's what it looks like outside my window right now in Pittsburgh!

And I have to add...Go Steelers!!!

Our driveway would usually drift so bad you couldn't tell we had one. Many times we would string the cars out in the driveway so at least we could get in and out.

One winter we had a car in the driveway we didn't see until Spring. :(

I’m sitting here at work looking at the freeway in downtown Cleveland. It is amazing that so many people can perfectly parallel park on I-77. I can only assume that the big long line of not moving cars means we have run out of parking downtown and have resorted to using the highway.

Stay safe and warm!

Though, living in Maine, 4-6" of snow is not considered an event here. We are just so used to it...our particular school district doesn't even have snow days unless there is severe icing or the accumualtion will be over 8" (and in progress during travel time).

We must have had close to a foot over the weekend just north of Pittsburgh. And the high tomorrow is going to be 8 and Friday 6. That is just too cold. But on the positive side we have enough snow to build this snowman and it is not melting anytime soon.

Hehehehe 4-6 inches... We got 15 a couple days ago and today our 1-2 inches of lake effect snow we were supposed to get turned into 8 inches...

The joys of living in the tundra!

Oh yeah, and everything is closed tomorrow school-wise because the wind chill is set to be -40 tomorrow. :) Yay!

That is an AWESOME looking snowman!!!

The School's are already closed because of 4-6 inches???!!!!
You should come visit us here in south west Michigan. That is practically an everday experience here. It takes much more than 6 inches for people to worry. We get ALOT of lake effect snow here which can dump an extra 4-6 inches on top of any storm that comes through.
We are getting predicted for 10 inches by morning, and I am sure that most schools will be open. However if the wind chill is as predicted that may cause some schools to close.
Drive slow and be safe!
Stay home and play DIS radio. Pretend you are on vacation!:goodvibes

Just popping over to say stay super safe tomorrow! We are supposed to have a coating to an inch in the morning, but tons on Saturday. Pixie dust to those getting snowed in! :)

I agree 4-6 inches isn't that bad... If you think the snow is bad wait for the arctic blast that is blowing your way.... We are sending over -19 degree weather .... that is not the wind chill it was the temp when I took the dog out this morning. The tears in my eyes and nose hairs were freezing!

Hey Dissers, I have a Update on the Winter Weather that we had yesterday The snow has stopped, The sun is out, But it's Cold ouside and the wind is blowing it's 6 degrees with a Winchill of -15 with the wind blowing out of the west at 15 to 25 mph. Most of Ohio is under a Wind chill Advisory untill 6pm tomorrow night . Welcome to Winter

Yeah, it's bitterly cold here; it hasn't been above zero since sometime yesterday (currently -5, but there's no wind-chill, thank goodness). Our projected high? -2 :headache:
At least it goes back up to the mid 20s on Saturday.
