Who watched the pairs finals last night? I was happy for the German lady who won gold. And the Canadian skater seemed genuinely happy for Germany, which was nice to see.

I watched the German pair skate and they were spectacular. We didn't stay up late enough to see how they medaled, though. Glad to hear she finally got a Gold.

It was an extremely close finish. The Germans won by the slimmest of margins because the Chinese couple, who had a comfortable lead, stumbled a bit.

I wonder how many Dutch will commit suicide after Sven Kramer failed to win the gold medal in 10,000 meters speed skating for the third straight Olympics. Not only that, he didn't win ANY medal with his 6th place finish.

Congrats to the Canadian skater who won.

It's the one race that seems to have eluded Kramer. TJ Bloeman has been a Canadian citizen since birth, due to his Canadian born father. He just moved here and picked up his passport in 2014. He won it in convincing manner too with an OR to go along with his WR in that distance.

Good luck to them! I will NEVER forget Jamaica flipping their sled on the hill in ‘88. Everybody there expected bloody carnage and they just got up and walked away. Google it if you’ve never seen it - it’s awesome!

I didn't watch, but read this morning that Nathan Chen pretty much crashed and burned. Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Jacobellis didn't medal, either.

Bad day for U.S. Three medal favorites didn't succeed. Both Mikaela Schiffrin and Lindsey Jacobellis came in fourth and Nathan Chen totally bombed. No medals in women's aerials either after having the top two qualifying runs.
