Hi,
I really want to take a Disney Cruise. The only time we would be able to do it is during the winter months..

How cold is it on the ship and the ports during Dec or Jan?

Thanks

Well...we have sailed on the Magic both the Eastern and Western in Jan and Feb. All the ports were very warm with the exception in January of Key West and CC which was on the cool side and breezy side. This was on the 1/4/03 Magic cruise.

I would think the Bahamas on the Wonder would be a bit cool that time of year since they have similar weather patterns as Florida.

We have done the Eastern and Western both in December and it was delightful weather except at Cape Canaveral which was chilly both times. (although back home it was in the 20's so 65 was still warm for us)

We have sailed on the Wonder 3 times in January.
2x was absolutely great weather, last time we got sunburned at Castaway Cay and it was very warm in Nassau. The other time it was not quite as warm and it was quite windy and cold at Castaway Cay.

We've sailed the Eastern in mid to late December and the 4-day beginning of January. Both were beautiful.

In particular, the Eastern cruise in December was warmer. I ended up with a very nasty sunburn in St. Thomas. I recall the weather being anywhere from 70s to high 80s during this trip. I would definitely do it again.

This past January on the Wonder, it was low 70s in the Bahamas when we were there. It was comfortable, but I found the water temperature at Castaway Cay to be a little to chilly for me. I'm a wimp, though when it comes to cold sensitivity, as many DISrs have found the temps of the CC water to be beautiful this time of year.

Check out http://www.weatherunderground.com/ Here you can find the history of weather for your locations to give you a better idea as to what to expect.

We found that crusing this time of year is actually much less expensive and will probably continue to cruise during these times of the year.

GOOD LUCK!
