Oh, please post photos! I'm not a big fan of Florida as it is, but this time of year I HATE it, I love the snow! I'd love to see pictures:lovestruc

2 weeks ago we had our first school delay because of snow in central Pennsylvania. We are also looking to possibly get hammered over the weekend.

We've had a little dusting. We're supposed to get some over the weekend.

I'm in southwest Virginia. They are calling for over a foot starting this afternoon. The kids were released from school 3 hours early today, and not even a flake has fallen yet. Just waiting!

It's snowing now, in mid-state NC. Probably going to be the only one we'll get this winter..maybe one more time.,

Yet your town is called "WINTER Garden". That must be a cruel joke to you!
:rotfl:

No snow here. :thumbsup2 We have gotten an insane amount of rain though; more than 22 inches since the month started 2 weeks ago. :scared:

I think they got a dusting of snow on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain a few weeks ago, but just rain down this way (New Orleans).

We had a dusting, about one inch, on December 5. That was a blizzard to us! :lmao: It had melted by early afternoon.

Last week we had record breaking cold temps and snow was predicted as we transitioned out of it, but we never saw a flake. We were up in the high 50s this week. We usually get a little snow every winter, but rarely in December.

eta: minniecarousel, my husband grew up within view of Mt. Diablo, too. He has fond high school memories of kids driving pick-ups up there and bringing back snow for snowball fights!

We have not have had "snow" yet, just a little flurries a bit of sleet.

However we are forecasted to get about an inch of accumulation with this system.

Christmas Eve is also forecasted to have some snow. We might have a "White Christmas".:thumbsup2

I'm hopin'!! :goodvibes

It flurried here all day a couple weeks ago, but hardly any of it stuck so the kids didn't get to play or miss school. We are forecasted to get snow starting tonight and lasting until Sunday with 12+ inches of accumulation. We are breaking out our inner tubes and we all got new boots today (on sale for 50% off!), so we are ready to go!

We've got about 1 1/2 feet of snow, with drifts of about 3 ft in spots. It's not going anywhere anytime soon, and we are expecting flurries for the next few days.

Measurable snow twice.. I think the first time was the first weekend in December - then that "Monster Storm" that was out west arrived here and dumped an additional 8 inches on top of what we already had.. Now they're predicting a storm for late Saturday night into Sunday afternoon, but I haven't heard how much..

No more worries about the power going out though.. As I'm typing this, the truck has just arrived with the generator my Dson-in-law purchased on Monday..:thumbsup2

I got a phone call from my daughter this afternoon. She and her family just moved to Cary, NC in July. She was telling me that it was snowing and actually accumulating. Her husband called her from his job and said get packing, we obviously haven't moved far enough south yet.

All I could do is chuckle. She didn't see the same humor in it. I told her that here in Vermont the sky was blue and the sun was shining bright. I did somehow forget to tell her that the temperature this morning was 1 below zero F. I don't know how I could have forgotten to mention it...I must be getting old.

We've got about 2.5" right now and snowing all night!!!

SWEEET!

Someone asked for a picture of snow. This is today at around 3 pm in South Asheville, NC. It was about 6 inches then, and we've probably gotten another 5-6 inches. Expecting more tonight and it is currently sleeting. BLECH!

OOPS that's a small picture. I'll see if I can make it bigger.

ETA: won't work, because of the upload, but hope you can see your snow.

Snowing now in central North Carolina. Expecting only about 3" before it turns into yucky icy mess.
