Hi ya!
We own a house not too far from Winter Garden so it's our ''local shops'' as it were
Its not a mall per say more of a town center kinda feel. We like it because it has Marshalls (think TK Max) and a large Super Target. It has a ton of other stores but some are more residential type (Lowes, Best Buy etc).
They also have Chipotle and Cold Stone. My 2 very fave quick service EVER!
I would say if you have a free afternoon to mill around then it's worth it. If you are pushed for time and just want the main labels do the Premium, Prime and Milliena.
If you would like any more info please ask
That's a very accurate summary, as this is also our 'local' shopping centre (along with the Publix at Summerport nearby). It certainly isn't really comparable with Premium or Prime Outlets and is a LOT more spread out, while it also has more shops geared to locals than tourists (Lowe's DIY, Party Store, Kirklands, etc). But it is a nice change if you have seen most of the others and it does have a more laid-back, local style, as well as an excellent range of restaurants, including BoneFish Grill, Chicago Uno, Chili's, Coldstone Creamery, Macaroni Grill, 5 Guys Burgers, Mimi's Cafe, Urban Flats and Longhorn Steakhouse. The central 'village' area, called The Grove, is a nice area to wander on foot as well.
We have a house just south of Windermere, kind of mid-way between Summerport and the Crossroads area. It's a good area to be in - convenient but relatively quiet (apart from the Magic Kingdom fireworks every night! ). We also like the Tibet-Butler Preserve which is just up the road; makes for a nice break for a quiet walk every now and then.
Yep know the area, very nice! I had to laugh, you know the MK fireworks STILL get us! We will be sat watching tv or sometimes upstairs in bed and will still go WHAT WAS THAT
Before we remember the fireworks LOL! My niece is thrilled she can see them from her bedroom window I just need to figure out how to sync the music lol.
We would love to move out permently but it's so hard for us to do! Man would I love to open my blinds to the orange groves every day!
Are you English or American? I am presuming you live out in FL permenantly due to you profile location.
Not wishing to hijack the thread, but yes, originally British but now resident in US and working on being American full-time! My wife and I write the Brit Guide to Orlando, hence my signature, and we split our time between Florida and Michigan - as well as a lot of other places when we're working!)
